"Back in the pen where he belongs"...DISGUSTING lol.

It never ceases to amaze me the scrubs that get thrown out there at this point, we know who they are. I'm sure he could be a decent reliever, it's just better for us if he could be a decent starter.

Elbow tightness is a killer, once I saw elbow in the ESPN alert I just knew it would be trouble.

Sad to say, but Judge is looking like a minor leaguer.

Meh, I've never see a team Ehh so many overpaid underperforming vets, I'm at the point where they should just eat Ellsbury's contract. Dude is garbage, and Mccann hasn't hit since Atlanta. Rough to watch.

Re: **The Official New York Yankees Thread**

Ellsbury still has like 4 years and the naming rights to Jeter's future child left on his deal, there's no way they can eat it, they just can't.

McCann unfortunately is expected. He hasn't hit, so his only value to us is on defense. Yet we've got The Kraken, so he's relegated to being a DH can't hit, a la A-Rod (the shots will never stop). 2 more years at 17 mil, I don't know what the answer is there. I guess hope Atlanta really wants him and just eat part of his salary.

Every time he comes into the game I just roll my eyes thinking about how much you must be loving him killing in the pen lol. His stamina could be an asset though, he can pitch 2 innings at the same level with no issue, and then a 3rd. If we do sneak in, he'll be a legit asset.

That GIF made me miss Joba.

We are rolling man. Trying not to get too excited but it's still fun to see the team playing well. Bryan Mitchell was super promising as well, hoping he can be a rotation piece going forward.

Re: **The Official New York Yankees Thread**

That's the thing about Severino, he can play so many roles. He can be a long man, a setup guy, whatever down the stretch. He is electric out of that pen. He's got all off-season to work on that changeup. Maybe he plays in the winter leagues.

I hope he puts it all together, and becomes the starter we all envisioned, but hey worse comes to worse, he can be a huge guy in that pen going forward.

Bring back Chapman. The pen is looking nasty again.

I don't know about Mitchell yet, although he held his own against a tough blue jays lineup, but I really like Cessa, that kid has poise, he just goes to work, gives up a homerun, and shakes it off.

Meanwhile Pineda gives up two hits, and he has a nervous breakdown out there. I can definitely see "Cessation" profiling as a legit 4 or 5 starter going forward, and that could be huge.

Speaking of Joba, the midges were back last night in Cleveland.

Re: **The Official New York Yankees Thread**

Man the Yankees have dangled hope out there at times this year only to fall back, but it honestly feels different now with a younger hungry team with some vets sprinkled in as opposed to high paid past their prime slug after another just doing the same mundane thing at the plate day after day. This team moving forward regardless of how this season ends up with a piece or two here and there really look special.

ESPN had an article recently about this being the dawning of a new Yankee dynasty and as way to early or overhyped that is at this point you can see the potential being there also

It's going to be a fun last few weeks, yanks against lowly TB and should be able to at minimum take 3 of 4, while Boston and Bal face each other opening the door to really get into that WC slot, as we then face Bos head on next, I'm pumped for football being back but damn I love me some fall baseball. LETS GO YANKEES!!!

Re: **The Official New York Yankees Thread**

I'm still cautiously optimistic. That lineup is still wildly inconsistent, you never really know what you're gonna get. I hope this is a sign of things to come for Austin, he looks pretty comfortable up there right now.

Ellsbury, Headley, McCann all have been taken better swings, if one of those guys can get hot, it would change the dynamic. Maybe judge starts to heat up. There are so many questions in this lineup, and you know there is when castro bats 3rd lol.

If this offense can get clicking, and get consistent ab's from a few guys, or one of these rookies can get hot. We are gonna push our way in. We don't have the lineups the Jays, RedSox, Orioles have, but we have the ingredients to spark big offensive rally's. Either way, this team became sellers, and now their pushing hard for a playoff spot, that's unbelievable. Playing with house money, and it's alot of fun to watch.

Not quite. We still aren't in a position where if the season ended today, we'd be in which puts us in a really weird position. We just have to keep winning. Now we're tied with Detroit, 1 GB in the WC behind the O's. If the Tigers beat the Orioles and we win, we'll still be in the same place. With so many divisional games, we really can't afford to lose any games this month which again, puts us in a really scary place. But the guys don't feel any pressure, so Yankees bout to march into the playoffs like...
