After signing Scott Eyre last week for the bullpen, it's being reported that the Cubs have now signed Bobby Howry to a 3-year deal(link). I'm liking this bullpen revamp so far.

      Yay!

More middle relievers so we can continue to lose games 3-2.

The Red Sox are out getting Josh Beckett, The White Sox are out getting Jim Thome.....we stockpile middle relievers.

Let's see if the tightwads open the wallet and get Furcal, or go out and get Juan Pierre from the Florida fire sale.

It has been a long time since I posted in this thread I created. So embaressed and sickened. Well I guess I am back. 12 mil for 3 years for Howry? Seems high, I guess he is recovered from his arm trouble he had with the Sox. Even Eyre seemed a bit pricey. Like Jistic said lets see what they are made of. Pierre and Furcal should be no brainers with the cash flow they have. Trade these damn prospects that always turn out to be duds for Pierre and take advanatge of that emabressment that is Florida. Even more embaressing is that they have 2 titles in the last 10 years during which they have had 2 fire sales and we have 0.

Well there ya go. Take Furcal off the list. Big suprise. The Cubs get Sammy off the books, free up some more money, sign a couple of middle relievers and a utility infielder, and don't pursue a big name free agent. BUT again I see they raised ticket prices.

Yep, business as usual. Enjoy another quality summer Cub fans!

But hey, Wrigley Field sure is a nice park right?

Yup this is getting ridiculous. But hey they will still keep selling alot of old style at wrigley. To bad thats all they care about.

              What a Joke.

Theres rumors that states the Cubs are almost 99.9% trading Kerry Wood.

In return, they receive 2 cases of Old Style and some peanuts.

Dont worry though Cub Fans. Apparently they also sent Ronnie Woo-Woo Wickers along with Wood.

Do you know what brand of peanuts? I'm disappointed to see Ronny go, he is a very good man.
