    Eh, not really.

Torre could have used Gordon and Mo if he really wanted to stop the bleeding. He knew that the bullpen was wearing out and needed a rest and one game would prolly have to be lost this week on the count of the 'pen. I'd much rather have the pen fresh for this weekend then this series vs. Baltimore.

He could have pulled Franklin and Rodriguez early but didn't. We had to take our whacks for one night, but that's fine because you won't see Wayne Franklin in a game this weekend at Fenway.

If nothing else, the Yankees have proven their ability to bounce back from losses like this. They're 6-3 in games after losing and allowing 10 or more runs. They've also outscored their opponents 58-42 in those games.

The Red Sox allowed 19 runs in one game IN the playoffs and still went on to win the World Series. I don't think it matters much that the Yankees allowed 17 last night. A loss is a loss.

Very nice bunt by Cano to move the runners.

2nd and 3rd, 1 out with Jeter up.

If there is ever a time Jeter needs to get a hit with runners in scoring position, its NOW.

That's the biggest bunch of bull**** I've seen.

Bernie's foot was on the plate when Gil made the tag.

Atleast the Yanks got one run, now up 2-1.

Ballgame. Yankees win, 2-1. Rivera with his 43rd save of the season.

Unless the Sox pull something out of their ***, we'll have the 1 game lead in the East.

If that's the case, that means all the Yanks have to do is win 2 games in Boston, instead of all three.

Well, hopefully this little cushion will give us a better chance at making the wild card if we get worked this weekend. I think TB is taking some wind out of Cleveland's sail, and Chicago might be picking up a lil steam just when they need us. The only problem is if Chicago has the division totally locked up and rests their starters for the last two games this weekend. Could be bad news, though they owe it to the Sox and Yanks to try and beat the Indians.

Anyway, great win tonight. A-Rod was amazing, the HR to tie it, two very nice plays at third base as well.

Well I just woke up, nice to see we have a 5-0 lead already.

Small puts himself into a jam by walking 3 straight but turns right around and K's Mora.

The White Sox owe nothing to nobody. They'd be stupid not to rest their players in preparation for the postseason.

Yep... except my fantasy season depends on Garland and Buehrle starting so I pray that they become stupid.

Another 1,2,3 inning...great catch by Matsui and nice K on a 3-2 count by Small.

Eh, there has been plenty of talk about it. It's sorta an unwritten code of ethics in the majors, ppl around the league wouldn't take it lightly if Guillen does that. Now that they've clinched before the series even starts it's a different situation.

Yanks up 6-0, Sox down 4-1. Too bad Cleveland is putting a beating on TB.
