Yeah this blows goats. I'm a big Kapler fan. He's no superstar or anything, but he's a guy who knows his role as a 4th OF, and is content with it, unlike another prick who used to be on this team.

This is a considerable blow because, who the hell plays RF vs lefties now? Hyzdu? Just leave Nixon in there?

Honest to god, I think Ortiz is the greatest hitter in his prime I've ever seen in my life. No joke.

How is this guy NOT the MVP? There's no way. NONE. Don't even bring up Rodriguez. I don't care that Ortiz is a DH. You use the position argument when it's a close race. This isn't close. Ortiz is EASILY the most valuable player to his team.

I love Ortiz. Unless ARod, Guerrero, Hafner, or someone unforseen goes nuts in the last 3 weeks to push his team into the playoffs there should be no way that Ortiz doesn't get the award. ARod isn't there for his team in the clutch, and hasn't been all year, and nobody else is deserving of a look right now. Its Ortiz all the way unless some jerk of a writer doesn't want to vote for him because he's a DH (a-la Pedro getting screwed out of the MVP award despite taking the most first place votes in 1999).
