This would be big for SJU to pull this off... I'm a Tar Heel born and a Tar Heel bred, but I would still like to see St. John's do well... I remember growing up in NYC in the mid 80s, and when the Johnnies did well, they OWNED that city.

St.John's pulls off the upset over #10 Notre Dame 71-65. Very entertaining game to watch.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

West Virginia destroyed a 9-4 Seton hall team on the road today 92-66 with six players getting into double-figures in scoring. Very nice!
There's only five teams left undefeated in Big East Conference play and WVU is one of them!
Rutgers is up 7-2 very early at UConn.Comment

Re: 2008/2009 Big East Thread
Congrats to Pitt, they are definitely the favorite in the Big East after UConn, Louisville and ND have shown us they have some pretty large flaws.
The Zags are completely out of the Top 25, no question they have been the biggest bust of 08-09 so far, and by a wide margin."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: 2008/2009 Big East Thread
I like ND's team makeup. All they need is one more big body down low because a front like UCONN will give Luke fits but when you have all of those shooters on the floor it really spreads the floor. Mike Brey is one of the most underrated coaches in CB. I know some bigtime programs have already inquired about him but he seems comitted to ND right now.Comment

Re: 2008/2009 Big East Thread
Gonna be damn near impossible to win in South Bend again this year.
Harangody is going to end up being one of the best Big East players of all-time seeing as he's only a junior and will obviously be coming back next year. He has an outside chance at scoring 3,000 career points.
And yet I still can't fully respect him."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier
