What a wild ending at Villanova! How could the Wildcats miss all those bunnies?

I hope WVU enjoyed that brief stay in the Top 25.

2 wins on the road in the Big East conference. We're 2-0 to start Big East play. Not a pretty game, but sometimes you have to win ugly. Good to see T-Will hit the clutch layup after missing a bunny against UNLV.

Samuels played well today, despite the fact he fouled out. TJ played well for the 3rd straight game. Sosa took a step or two back and we couldn't hit an open 3 if our life depended on it, so thankfully our life didn't depend on a 3 today.

Next up Notre Dame @ Freedom Hall.

Getting ready for the start of the Cuse' game at the RAC, watching a Rutgers sports show last night and one of the Rutgers players said that he has already played the best in the BE and that all they gotta do is shutdown Flynn and rebound better and it will be a win.

Yea, Hope Andy lights you in the butts!

Lets go Orange, keep this shooting going, gotta cut down on Turnovers, TO's and FT's have killed this team so far!

I dont have any idea how, but Syracuse is up 39-38 on Rutgers at the RAC, The Rebound Margin is 19-9 and the Foul Margin is 11-4, in Rutgers favor. Rutgers FT's have pretty much kept us in this.

I HATE playing at the RAC.

                Final score: Syracuse 82 , Rutgers 66

Paul Harris led SU with a season-high 26 points, but he had plenty of help from his Orange friends.

The Orange dominated the second half of this game, outscoring RU 43-28 to take command and win its 16th game. SU is 4-0 in the Big East.

Arinze Onuaku fouled out with 19 points; Jonny Flynn had 15 and Eric Devendorf had 15. SU won big on a night when Andy Rautins found early foul trouble and never got untracked.

As the seconds ticked down in this one, the entire RAC was filled with SU fans cheering 'Let's go O-range.'

Anthony Farmer led Rutgers with 17 points.

SU plays Georgetown in DC on Wednesday.

Awesome 2nd half for the Orange, Even though it should of been a "charge" though not in the NBA, Johnny Flynn completly annihilated a player on rutgers with a monster dunk. I was flipping out.

Now we hit our mid roller coaster, 8 ranked teams in next 9 games, The Big East is insane, I am glad we are 16-1(4-0), going 6-8 and finishing 22-9(10-8) will still get us in with the wins we have so far. Though thats the worse I see them actually finishing.

                Go Orange!

I only casually watch college, so maybe this is a dumb question, but why isn't Flynn an NBA prospect?

It might be a while before they get back there again. I don't hardly think wins over Marshall & South Florida (assuming they actually win those games) this week will be enough to do it. I still think they're an NCAA Tournament team and will finish with 21 or 22 wins.

Foul trouble has really hurt them the past two games. Butler only playing about 3 minutes in the 2nd half of the Marquette game was the difference. Just like the UConn game, he was having a solid game but had to spend a lot of time on the bench because of fouls. Without him in the game, they really don't have someone to go to when they need a basket. Ruoff is supposed to be that guy but he's struggling with wide open looks lately. He was also forced to play a lot of point Saturday with Truck being in foul trouble also. It doesn't look like Mazzulla's coming back this season so depth is a problem when fouls start to pile up. Hopefully they will turn things around and get back on track with rival Marshall Wednesday night.

Flynn not an NBA prospect? Says who?

He is definitely first round material and possibly potential lottery material if he hangs around a couple more years.

The main knocks on him I can think of are his size (big strong PGs like Deron Williams might give him problems) and the fact that he primarily plays in a 2-3 defense, leading to scouts having question marks about his defensive ability.

Actually Syracuse is playing about twice as much Man this year than zone.

NBAdraft.net has Flynn the 29th pick in for the 2010 season. If Flynn stays one more season, Syracuse would be scary good...
