Louisville just got royally screwed by the refs and should have won the game. Going to OT now.

they are rotated for each other. Preston is the better defender and Smith is the better shooter, so they are alternated depending on the situation.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

UofL played a tremendous game and T-Will was a man among boys. 24pts and 15rebs I think he had.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: 2008/2009 Big East Thread
Williams was the obvious game MVP but the job the Cardinals backcourt did on Jackson and Kmac at the end of regulation/OT was incredible. Jackson just flat out got hounded and turned it over a couple of times late. If Williams shoots the ball even half as well as he did last night the Cards are going to be really tough to compete with.Comment

Upon first seeing the play I thought they got screwed too but after watching it 3 or 4 times, there's no way he would have gotten that dunk off before the clock expired. They blew the play dead and the clock stopped at 0.6 seconds. At that time, he had just crossed the foul line. Had the whistle not blown and the clock continued to run, he would have still had the ball in his hand as time expired. It didn't matter anyway as Notre Dame just ran out of gas in OT.Comment

Well, the Capital Classic is tonight. Marshall is WVU's Achilles Heel it seems. While WVU doesn't lose every game, the game is always way too close for comfort even though Marshall is a highly inferior team. Since the 1999 season, here are the results for WVU against the Thundering Herd:
1999: 85-84 W
2000: 82-77 W
2001: 73-67 W
2002: 79-81 L
2003: 65-61 W
2004: 55-51 W
2005: 55-59 L (This was WVU's Elite Eight team. At the time, they were 10-0 after beating NC State.)
2006: 52-58 L (This was the last year of the great Pittsnogle/Gansey/Herber Era, the Sweet Sixteen team which had their season ended by a Texas buzzer beater.)
2007: 77-63 W (NIT Championship winning team.)
2008: 66-64 W (Last year's Sweet Sixteen team; game was won on a shot by Butler with five seconds remaining.)
And now ... how will 2009's game be? One paper it should be a blowout, but I fully expect it to be a close game.Comment

I'm going to the Garden tonight for Uconn-St. Johns. Should win big, but St. John's hasn't been that bad so we'll see. Should be like a home game for UConn.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment
