Class n. 1. a number of people or things grouped together because of certain likeness 2. The difference between UK fans and UofL fans. 3. What UofL football and basketball players (not to mention fans that take every chance to down UK) need to attend more often 4. social or economic ranks (As in UK's 7 national championships puts it in a different class than UofL and their 2 national championships)Last edited by wildcatchild; 11-16-2008, 06:35 PM."He who controlleths the backboard, controlleths the game." - Adolph RuppComment

Keep trying to put UofL fans down to make yourself feel better. Keep telling how you guys are crippled because you don't have Crawford or Bradley, keep talking about how last year was due to injuries, keep the excuses coming.
All I know is...

Yeah thats silly. Kentucky is down as a major program but they are no where near done. They are still recruiting extremely well and they'll bounce back.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: VMI 70 Kentucky 54
I never said anything about that. In fact, if you visited this board often, you would see where I predicted UofL would win the national championship. I just find it comical that UofL fans take every chance to down UK when UK fans don't waste their time on UofL....maybe UNC or Duke, but not UofL (at least I don't.)
Are we going to win it all? No. But we will be in the NCAA tournament and we will be a better team than last year.
I do visit the board frequently. And the very first post I made was how UK fans were on local sports call in shows knocking UofL because we struggled in our exhibition games and how they were the better team.
And yes, I had a difference of opinion with Dakkon and we were discussing them and he said I was trolling the forum. Then yes, I was joking with Fishepa when I said its not funny and posted the lol smiley face. And then I get accused of being classless.
Whats funny though, is that I never intended in coming in here and poking fun at UK fans here on OS or anything. I came in here, made my post and decided that I would discuss the game and the team. I then get accused of attacking and trolling. I guess you guys are a little sensitive after a bad loss.Last edited by countryboy; 11-17-2008, 02:03 PM.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Please, please show me where I said that YOU were trolling. I'd honestly love to see it. I said trolls, with an s. Meaning all the cats coming in here just to find any way to take a shot at UK, but are never around when we are getting the big wins. So unless you are multiple people, I don't think trolls was ever directed at you. Us, sensitive after a hard loss. You, sensitive about a word that wasn't even directed at you in the first place.Comment

Re: VMI 70 Kentucky 54
The sad thing about this is that during this short period of mediocrity for Kentucky, Alabama has done NOTHING to take advantage. In fact, the only SEC team to capitalize on this has been Florida. Not even Arkansas or LSU could muster up some SEC titles.Twitter

Re: VMI 70 Kentucky 54
you're best player last year wasn't Crawford? Look, you can talk injuries all you want, I know about them. David Padgett anyone? How about Juan Palacios? You are making excuses for losing to Gardner Webb, UAB, Georgia and now VMI. Thats not a good thing to have to be doing.Patrick Patterson was the best player last year, by far.
I said earlier in this thread that UK just isn't a good team this year and are running off of reputation. I'm still trying to figure out why you're attacking me. I honestly don't know what you all expect when you lose not only one of the best backcourt duos in the NCAA, but a key rotation guard (Jasper) to transfer and Alex Legion to transfer early in the season. 4 total guards and 2 who would be key pieces to the team this year just gone. So we're stuck starting a player at point guard who should never even be in a Kentucky jersey in Mike Porter.
I'm not making excuses for anything. I'm trying to defend my team against all the trolls who only come out from under the bridge when one of their despised teams lose, but are never around when those same teams are beating top 5 and top 3 teams. Maybe I should start trolling the Louisville threads when they are losing to teams like Dayton like they did last year.
And I'm not sensitive about anything. Call me a troll if you like, no skin off my back.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: VMI 70 Kentucky 54
I quoted your post because your last post was directed at me and said that I was making excuses when I had said from the beginning that our team was flat out outplayed that night. The onlly excuse I made was directed at the officiating, which for anyone who saw that game (and I'm guessing you didn't, since you are in Indiana...) knew what I was talking about. It was Kings/Lakers WCF bad. VMI shuffling their feet all over the place before making a move, over-the-back foul calls when the rebounder was jumping backwards and away from the person boxing out. It was just ridiculous. Regardless, UK should not ever be in a position to have the officiating be the deciding factor of the game against VMI.
Trolls was used because as soon as people see any thread made about Kentucky, whether it be OS, ESPN, CBSsportsline, or anything, they feel the need to come in and try to make it a bigger deal than it really is. It happens with all the big teams in every sports association. Lakers/Kobe, Boston Celtics/Red Sox/Patriots, etc, etc. I guess all the fans who are in those threads defending against the haters are making excuses too? That's not making excuses, that's defending our team. So we lost to Gardner Webb, Houston, and UAB last year? We still did fine and made it to the NCAA tournament without who was, in my opinion, the best player on the team in Patterson, and who is going to be co-star player this year in Meeks, and beat a #3 Tennessee team along the way.
We will do fine, we may lose 10-12 games this year, but we will be fine. We should make the NCAA tournament with a strong performance in the SEC with no clear favorites to win the tournament besides Tennessee and Florida.
I just have to comment on this because of the ridiculousness of it. It really is hilarious. You act like missing star players has absolutely no effect on outcomes of games. I guess the year that David Robinson was injured and the Spurs had the 3rd worst record in the NBA had nothing to do with Robinson being out?Comment
