Roy and Coach K, sounds like a fued just like Cheaney and Calipari in the A-10.

You UNC basketball fans are about as hard on coaches as us Bama football fans are. I think MD deserved atleast one more year. My prediction is if Roy Williams and Kansas win the National Title, he will be the new coach at UNC.
"They talk about the Alabama family not being reasonable and realistic. Well hell no, we're not supposed to be reasonable and realistic. We're Alabama, we're supposed to be the best."

I don't see why Roy Williams would leave Kansas. If I was Roy I sure wouldn't. He has a top notch team every year. Has super recruits. Everyone talks about N.C being I top 5 job. Then what is Kansas??? Kansas is one of the best Jobs in college basketball And, last I checked In 32 years Dean Smith only won 2 Nat Titles at N.C. If I was Roy Williams I am not going anywhere.

You may not see it as a top 5 job, but guess what, it's "home". That's why Roy took a week to decide last time, and ultimately he wanted to stay loyal to the kids he had coming in. (Collison, Hinrich and Gooden) Now, those kids are gone, and he has a rift with the AD. Then you get a call to come coach at home, where your family, your roots, are. That's what makes it a top 5 job, the pull of "home". I'm not saying it's a done deal, but all the chips are in place for it to be that way. Although if I had a deal in principle in place with Carolina, I'd be upset that they didn't handle this next week, after I finished my Final Four games.

                      Re: Who\'s @ fault for Doherty\'s firing?

I heard Doh alienated just about everyone at UNC - including and especially Dean Smith.

Asked by a KC radio reporter, Roy refuses to take himself out of the running for the UNC job:

Williams: Carolina decision "Pain in the rear"
                      Link: Brains?

                      MIZZOU - KC Chiefs
