Another huge win for Pitt today. Pitt is 7-0 all-time at the Pete vs. Top 5 teams. That is impressive.

Yep. The Panthers are very nearly unstoppable at the Pete. This team just continues to get better and better as the year goes on.

What I find kind of funny though is that Pitt lost all their big players from last year and were picked 9th in the conference and to possibly miss the tournament while starting the season unranked while UNC also lost a lot of starters but were still ranked in the top 6 in the preseason polls. Now here we are in late February and Pitt is tied for 3rd in the Big East and possibly looking at a top 6 seed in the tournament while UNC is at the bottom of the ACC and probably will miss the tournament.

At any rate, this season is bound to help with Pitt's recruiting as this coaching staff has proved to be very good at working with a very young and inexperienced team.

      Penguins : 1990/91, 1991/92, 2008/09, 20015/16, 2016/17
      Pirates : 1909, 1925, 1960, 1971, 1979
      Panthers (FB): 1915, 1916, 1918, 1929, 1931, 1934, 1936, 1937, 1976

I don't care what the exact numbers are, I don't think there's a tougher place to play in the entire country than the PEC.

Maybe Cameron because you have to play the refs too but your right. Throw your ranking out the door and just pray for a win there.

the student section is called the Oakland Zoo. As a student you get on the court tickets for $5....great times. Now I am on the waiting list for season tickets and it will be a long time before I can even sniff tickets.

WVU was a couple missed FTs and a garbage call away from winning there.

Oh, it hurts me to think about it..

                  Great start for WVU already...

I don't like where this game is heading.

UCONN is gonna end up with a 6-9 seed probably, I really hope UCONN does not get into Syracuse's bracket because they look really good right now. UCONN will def. be a bracket buster this year

Yeah, the game certainly did not head where I wanted to. That said, knowing this WVU team, I can't same that I'm surprised by the result. Pathetic FT shooting, bad defense, and dumb fouls contributed to this loss.

with the WVU loss...UofL has a legitimate chance to reach the Top 4 in the BE standings. I still feel as though we have to win out as WVU has a one game lead due to the head to head win.

Yeah, they showed highlights of the game on my local news tonight and said there were something like 46 or 47 total personal fouls in the game. That's crazy.

UCONN pretty much led wire to wire. How did the refs hand them that game?

it's getting to the point where every time someone's team loses a big game the ref is at fault.
