Dakari Johnson is committing tonight. He's down to UK, Georgetown & Syracuse. I will be quite surprised if he doesn't come to UK.
If we can somehow get him and Wiggins or Randle, this could be the greatest recruiting class ever.

Wiggins has been taking a LOT of pics with UK fans as of late. He seems to gravitate towards us. Watched him play the other day, kid has his facepainted w/ UK, and Wiggins made it a point to run over to him after the game. *Hopeful

I think it could, but it depends on who it is coaching them. Cal knows how to get the best out of these "one and done" players so I don't think it will hurt their development.

I think the opposite... Practicing against top 10 players every day is a hell of a lot bettermthan practicing against Random3StarSF or Random3StarCenter.

The only thing it hurts is the depth that you need to go deep in tournament settings.. We're likely never going to have another Darius Miller, senior leadership who happened to be a great athlete and knockdown shooter.. If you're a double digit scorer who has the athleticism to at least jump over a phone book, you can make it to the NBA at UK.. Kyle Wiltjer can't jump over a phone book so he may end up being a 4 year (definitely a 3 year player).. But one upper class player out of 4 years of recruits definitely makes it hard to build depth and it will always be a problem.

But no, I do not think classes like that hurt development.. Jarrod Polson, a walk on, has been able to play significant minutes for us when Harrow was out/struggling all and only because he practiced against NBA level guards the last 3 years. The players who do stick around will definitely become better, the problem lies in finding those players.. Willie Cauley Stein was thought to have been at least a 3 year player, and now it's looking like he's going to end up middle first round pick. Hard to build any depth to actually develop with roster turnover like that

Come on now as another UNC fan there is no way you can hate UK for what's happening. We've had more than our fair share of one & done players. Guarantee if it was Roy bringing in these classes you wouldn't have any problem with it.

Don't even blame the NCAA for this because the NBA created the stupid rule in the first place. For once the NCAA isn't at fault here

Ok so in the last 3 years Kentucky has had 8, 1 and done players. 9 if you want to count Enes Kanter. As a UNC fan I'll bet you can't name the last 5, 1 and done players off the top of your head. I can see 1 or 2 a year but whenever you're whole recruiting class is full of them it's getting a bit much.

So as a coach, what do you do when you have Top 10 players that want to play for you? Tell them you can only have one or two one and dones? Then go get players that have lesser talent?

It's not UK's fault that the NBA decided they can't stop themselves from drafting high school players so they needed to create a rule that stops them from doing it.

UK recruits the same players we do but they happen to sign more of them.

Although we don't necessarily have a lot of 1 & done players like UK, we aren't a team chalk full of juniors & seniors. Whatever UK does is working for them & until the NBA changes their rule then I have no problems with it. Hate the NBA for that rule, not UK or coach Cal for doing what every other coach & program in America would do.

Keith Frazier will take an official visit to Texas next weekend and to SMU on Feb 2nd. I still think he ends up at SMU
