No, he doesn't. Grinnell did this last year, too. They changed their offense up a bit and let one player go crazy.

EDIT: From the link I posted.

However, Grinnell traditionally subs players in and out in waves, with no player playing more than around 20 minutes. That did not happen tonight, or on the night in which Lentsch scored his 89 points, as the offense was clearly altered to favor a particular player.

Yeah he actually had the better game.
          How about this stat.
Grinell hit 30 threes while Faith Babtist didn't hit any, they were out scored by 90 points from behind the arc!

Ugly display by Morehead Coach Sean Woods when his player fouled out against UK.

I like how Michigan is sticking with the 1-3-1 late.

I question Larson's total too. From what I've been hearing about how Grinnell plays defensively, it seems like a full press to half court, then give up on defense. I think it's conceivable that Larson's buckets were all uncontested in the paint. It's a solid achievement, but like has been done with Taylor, I'd like to see a shot chart.

Michigan hangs on, 67-62. Big second half surge from Hardaway and Robinson, and the 1-3-1.

That was the first time I've really gotten to sit down and watch them this year. Both teams played some great defense. Michigan didn't have their best game, and they still found a way to win. A mark of a good team. 12 straight free throws made down the stretch was great to see.

WVU's offense is nothing short of dreadful.

EDIT: WVU scores eight quick points. Nice reverse psychology. In all seriousness, though, the scores have come off of rebounds and fastbreak points. The half-court offense is still awful.

Duke looked pretty solid against Minnesota. Plumlee with 20 and 17 (8/10 FT), Curry had 25, and Quinn Cook had the best game of his college career so far. So glad he's finally stepping up and claiming the starting PG position.

I think it's about time Mason enters the NPOY discussion...averaging 21.3 ppg and 10.8 rpg through 4 games.

UNI trailed by as much as 18 in the second half, they cut the lead to two with about 2 minutes to go, had it within 2 with 6 seconds left when they got a Louisville missed FG, refs missed an obvious over the back and called a jump instead and they somehow turned an intentional foul situation for UNI into a three point play... Louisville survives, 51-46.

What I have heard is that basically they trap the first three passes and then send two guys back down the floor and basically leave their opponents with an easy basket on a 5 on 3. They're all about pace at Grinnell.

This is exactly right. Grinnell doesn't play much half court defense and pretty much give opponents wide open layups if they don't get a steal off of their full court press. They think they can just come down and win simply by jacking up tons of three's.
