Was Andy Kennedy saving that last timeout for the ride home? They had 2.5 seconds left. They could have thrown a pass to midcourt and still had 1.5 seconds left. Henderson hit a shot just inside halfcourt this year at Vandy to send a game into overtime.

In a tie ball game, may I ask what you'd recommend? In those instances, I believe teams are kind of in a tough spot. Sure, when trailing and desperately in need of a turnover or at least a stoppage of the clock, I'd believe in double teaming, trapping when possible, and doing whatever one can in order to regain possession of the ball.

However, in a tie ball game, such tactics (double teaming, gambling) are very risky. They could potentially lead to a foul (say, on an overaggressive trap) or a very good look for the offense (if a ballhandler handles a double team with aplomb and finds the open man. I believe this is why, in most situations, coaches decide their best option is play smart, strong defense and play for overtime as opposed to chancing things with plays that could lead to fouls or breakdowns.
