I am. Best friend is a Mizzou fan, so they are typically the team I follow 2nd most in all major sports. The two teams have a combined 27-game losing streak. Just awful.

I love how he's surprised the fanbase "turned against him" after winning 12 games in 2 seasons.

they are going to throw the checkbook at Scott Drew. It seems that its his job to turn down. After that, I would like for them to target Dusty May. Outside of those two, I'm not sure who I would get excited about.

I think Scott Drew would be a great hire. Can't do any worse then Payne though right lol. Nowhere to go but up

I dont quite see him leaving especially with how bad we have been this year but nothing would totally surprise me either. He only has signed 2 incoming Freshmen for the 2024-2025 season and everyone knows Muss loves the transfer portal but he swung and missed this year.

This Kansas deficit is fun to see.

Cincy totally dominated tonight, at 20-13 they might possibly be a bid stealer now. The new teams in the Big 12 are doing very well this year its pretty cool to see honestly.

KU is an interesting team now going into next week, they are supposed to get Dickinson and Mccullars back but they might be a team that people will pick to be upset. There last 2 games have not been pretty at all.

In Nolan Smith, Payne signed the son of close friend and fellow U of L alum, Derek Smith, a program hero who played for the 1980 national championship team and died in 1996. Nolan Smith came from Duke, where he was an All-American point guard and starter for the 2010 NCAA Championship team before working on Hall of Fame coach Mike Krzyzewski’s staff, where he spent six years before joining Payne at Louisville.

But Smith was sensitive to criticism, had some contentious social media interactions with fans, and before the 2023-24 season interviewed with a G-League team, the Capital City GoGo. When athletics leadership concluded that Smith had been the source of a leak that resulted in national media reports saying Payne would be fired in December and Smith elevated to the head coaching job, Payne was advised to take the matter up with Smith.

Probably the most damning part of that article. Talk about stabbing your head coach in the back. It would be interesting to see if Nolan Smith gets another assistant coaching job.
