2K26 MyNBA / Franchise Mode

As expected! All I wanted was better presentation and improved RPG. So sad, it's been way too long. I really hope EA brings back Live. Maybe then they'd be motivated to improve MyNBA.

Yeah another bunch of crap with no substance (and I say this as someone who will buy the game definitely because I'm a sucker)

Same thing as last year when they made that video about the mode and immediately started with propaganda about MyGM getting super powers smh

No mention of increasing the number of slots in trades, allowing more than 3 team trades. No improvement in AI team building, no improvement in player AI logic with contract demands in FA, no new exceptions teams can use in real world to sign/trade players, no improvement to bird rights, retaining your own FAs, no mention of FINALLY allowing you to trade/waive an injured player like in real world, no improved logic to make AI decide mid-season to blow it up or trade their two superstars if they can't make the playoffs two years in a row or win a title with a big 3. But we have DYNAMIC BANNERS now, hurray!!!

I like being able to add your My player to the mix. Especially if it continues to allow you to use your face scan info. I just hope you can edit players and such in the modes. I wanted to get into the GM mode last year, but I just have no interest in today's NBA players. I like to create my own players and/or edit no name players and create new legacies.

They won’t. When Live was around they focused on the same stuff 2k did with “The One” mode. I just hope the new cap and two-way rules are in since there are a few work around for the other issues like the injury bug.

The sim speed was slow as soon it hit Dec all the up to the trade deadline. All you have to do is lower the trade frequency slider down to like 25 or so for a faster sim in 2k24 and 2k25. Took them 2 years to figure this out. Smh

Surprised, 2k didn't even have a MYNBA video this year.

It's kinda vague but It does say that if you choose to do "Smart" Sim then trades should be more realistic. That is an improvement that I like, personally. I wish maybe there was video or a more in-depth example of how the AI is supposed to be smarter. If the Playoff atmosphere is improved, I'm also pretty happy about that.

Doesn't look like any improvements for draft classes, unfortunately.

I think the EAs College Basketball game will bring back competition and force 2K to up their game. If EA approaches it the same way they did for College Football, 2K can't take them lightly.

Yeesh, they're really scraping the bottom of the barrel there. Was hoping to upgrade from 2K24 this year but that's starting to seem unlikely.

Players from other teams seem to get injured, you can adjust the severity, frequency, duration with sliders. The only thing is that the severity and duration indicators are only adjusted at the beginning of the franchise and cannot be changed later.

I'm interested in something else, why in 2K the statistics of offensive rebounds are counted together with team rebounds, of course it's a small thing, but as far as I know, everywhere they count team statistics of offensive rebounds by adding the number of how many each player picked up personally. I'm a fan of statistics and for me it's important.

They heal too quickly, even with adjusted sliders. So you end up with players missing 2-3 months only with a torn achilles or ACL, or returning from a six week injury within a fortnight etc

Let's be honest though, 2k relies very heavily on players being able to customise and control all teams. The "smarter" sim logic is interesting, it kind of confirms that the base CPU logic sucks and doesnt consider trades properly. I wonder how much extra processing time will be needed for better CPU decisions to be made, and if it will also affect free agency and contracts?

Plus at this point I'm just yelling into the wind, but why does creating an expansion team still only allow you only three jerseys and one limited court design? Is it really that hard to bring it into line with the rest of the NBA?

Also lol at announcing the inclusion of the Valkyries as a feature.
