Surprisingly I've connected 3-4 times tonight on PS4 with no problem while yesterday night I was having trouble connecting. There doesn't seem to be any real reason why some people get on and others don't.

I agree that 2k needs to be more transparent.

I am guessing the reason is "The servers get overloaded when a certain number of people are online and so anyone else who tries to get on gets a giant middle finger"

I played for about 3 hours last night on MyCareer. Kicked me off at 2am central time and it's been off since.

Mine went down around 2pm central time today

this thread has tripled in size in less than 24 hours...

Will keep on refreshing it and hopefully ill eventually see 20 posts all written in capitals and bold saying "ITS BACK UP!!!"

Is anybody having any luck? I still can't connect. It goes to the main screen and says "checking internet connection", needless to say it never finds the connection.

I am one of the few people who X'd passed when it prompted me to create a new MyPlayer when the servers originally went down, did I inadvertantly do something wrong here? I literally haven't been able to play since around 2 a.m. last night. C'mon 2K.

lol. such bs. all i did was try to get a new jumpshot and it crashed. if you're going to implement vc then you better make sure you have a system that can handle it.

this is up there with the BF4 launch, imo.

Oh good, I was able to use the VC code for 5,000 VC that I can't currently use thanks to the servers being down... this makes up for it... right?...

The locker code worked fine for me while I was unable to connect.

I tried restarting the game by closing application and re-launching. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting to PSN while the application was both open and closed. And I tried fully rebooting the PS4.

2K's server is not working. I am able to play other games fine.

Yeah, did the same. Definitely a problem on their end. It looks like their servers ARE up but not functioning correctly. I can edit my player, change his gear, enter locker codes and it all updates fine. But I do not get the full menu or the ability to play game modes.

My boy said he hasn't been able to play since 12am last night. A full day of the servers being down is inexcusable.

What pisses me off is how unresponsive 2K is. Then I see tweets/Instagrams from Ronnie2k about his personal life. Like anyone gives a damn. He thinks he's an actor or musician where people follow him to see what he's up to. Meanwhile, his posts are flooded with comments of people complaining they can't connect. His arrogance is extremely irritating.

For me when i start the game it asks me to create a new myplayer, i dont wanna continue cause i feel i might lose my old player. Cmon 2k fix these damn servers!

2K should use all their money from VC purchases to upgrade their servers
