I'm not even worried about it anymore, Clear as day to me he's a lie. They only way he might not be is if he hasn't used any VC.

Yeah mines was fine till i decided to upgrade my mycareer then it just went to crap...2k should have fixed this now its pathetic what kind of " devs " they have working

The servers do work for some. Over the last couple of days I've ran a few games. It took me forever to get in though. All my gear was gone but today it returned. Got into another game on my first try but the game DC. Didn't try again after that. From the looks of it, a lot of guys have corrupted players. I saw a lot of 25s running around

Just played a Quick Game and the VC I earned was saved to the 2k servers, so perhaps they've narrowed down which servers they were having issues with and just took them offline completely and that's why the main menu is bare. Last night everything was going grand while I played MyCareer for a few hours. Even used VC numerous times and it still worked, that is until I used some at about 2am central time and it kicked me off. Right now I can even see my MyCareer save file when I click on it to manage the files, but I am unable to use it due to not having a connection with the 2k servers. This is better than it was last night and the night before when I got kicked off and they wanted me to create a new MyCareer guy altogether. They're obviously working on something. Hopefully whenever they fix the servers this time they're fixed for good, or at least they're down when I'm not wanting to play.

Again thanks you for explaning this to these crybaby on here who is demanding actually pics. you tell them something about the server being up, they think you're lying... they ask you for a pic and you don't provide it for them.... they think you're lying.

The server is also down for me. 2k needs 2K get their act together. It is ridiculous that I need to be connected to play single player MyGM.

The 2k server problem is quite a conundrum to me. I just got the game 2 days ago, and am fully aware of all the preceding problems with the game and online problems as I read the ongoing complaints dating back from before the first patch until post patch #3/current day. I too get the never ending message of "Checking for internet connection." MyTeam does not show up in the frontend Menu, and I was randomly forced to recreate my MyPlayer all over again. I'm not sure what exactly is "down" in the servers. I've experienced some things that make me question what's going on and to what extent it's happening.

1. I started a new MyGM with all the server problems going on to have something to play offline in the stead until things are up again. I chose to fantasy draft and when the draft concluded and had to choose to load a draft class I selected to download a draft class. I connected and downloaded one no problem, which I find interesting..

2. The MYNBA2k14 App that you can download for your mobile device, I downloaded it just to see what it was about for my phone. I went into the VC Lottery envelope picking game and selected an envelope at random and won 1,400 VC. My balance updated both on my phone and on my game in any menus in which VC is viewable. In the MYNBA2k14 App, I chose to check on MyGM that I had connected to the internet just to see what it would say; However, it showed the MyGM in which I had just fantasy drafted which should be considered "offline" and even has updated after I've played games on my calendar.

3. (I'm not sure to what extent this has anything to do with the problems, however I figured I'd take a shot in the dark at the heart of what next-gen 2k seems to be all about, without actually going through with it.) If you go to purchase VC it seems to take you through all the steps without problems; I clicked on 8,000 VC or w/e the lowest number is and it took me to the Playstation Network screen where your wallet shows up. However, I exited following that since I had no intention of ever buying in the first place so I don't know if a transactions would actually go through.

Needless to say, something needs to be fixed I'm just curious what that something is. Are the server problems happening to people on PC, 360 and PS3? Anyways, just thought I'd throw my happenings out there as I found it all quite odd.

This is a big issue with 2K. The fact the two main game modes need to be always connected to their server is a really bad decision. If the server is down for a large amount of time no one can play the two main career modes at all which leaves very little to do in the game. At least add an offline option to them like we had with MyCareer in 2K13 with the old skill point system as an alternative rather than being reduced to just playing quick matches because the server is down.

I connected to the EA server fine before whilst playing FIFA 14 on my PS4 and I have had no issues with PSN since getting my PS4 on Christmas. As NBA2K is the game I play most this is a huge issue for me. Also the concept of VC is stupid the fact everything in the game needs VC is just well stupid and I guess it ties in to this always online thing 2K has.

How is the entertainment value in the games favor when you can't play the game?

You can play the game. You just can't play your online file.

Also, a movie theater ticket for a 2 hour movie is like $12. That is 10 hours for $60. I have put much more than 10 hours into this game. MUCH MORE and that doesn't count the amount post server fix.

Yes, it's super annoying what is happening and 2K definitely needs to be more responsive. But acting so irrational, childish and downright entitled as some people are here, is no better.
