Decided to save up my VC over the course of the last month and start a new MyGM. I got the required 50,000 VC and bought the Lakers before the season started.

Move #1 - Released Kobe and his monstrosity of a contract.
Move #2 - Traded Swaggy P and Boozer with a 2017 1st Rd for Ben McLemore and Derrick Williams.
Move #3 - Signed Isaiah Austin

Also acquired - Tristan Thompson, Jason Terry and Tony Wroten.

I then simmed up to present day and I must say I am pleased with the progress so far. Our chemistry dropped all the way to around 35% with the initial trades, etc.

We are now 17-25 which puts us far down on the standings, but the players are really finding their groove since I fired Byron Scott after the first two games saw us get beat by a combined 95 pts. I am not sold on Julius Randle at this point and he might be trade bait pretty soon. Someone on this team needs to step up on the scoring end and I am hoping that will be McLemore. Looking forward to the rest of the season though.

When i start a new MyGM and turn on the roster injuries, the injured players won't start recovering until today. For example Kyrie Irving is listed Day-to-Day at the beginning of the season. But he doesn't recover from that injury in a few days. He is all the time until the real date (January 6th) listed as Day-to-Day and then starts to recover. So Kyrie is injured half of the season. And it's applying not only to Kyrie, it's applying to all players which are injured at the beginning of the season. Players who get injured within the season are not affected, so it has something to do with roster injuries.

I would be nice to know if I am the only one or not. Just start a new MyGM/MyLeague with the latest Roster Update, turn on the Roster Injuries and simulate a few weeks. I think it has something to do with the latest Roster Update.

I started a Sacramento Kings MyLeague for a bit of a re-building project!...

Man, this will be a tough ship to turn around!, No picks in this years draft so i'll miss out on a solid prospect! and Rudy Gay locked in for 4 years at 19M!, not that I think Rudy is a bad player, but he's on Lebron like salary!.
Few games in I like Ben McLemore, I'm going to be patient and develop him as the years go on, I think Derrick WIlliams can offer me something off as an off the bench type of player especially if his defence can be improved!

I don't think i'll be keeping Rudy Gay around long term, as his production just doesn't match his price!, i'll be looking at a mid-season trade possiby a deal with N.O...I'm probably losing out on value here but i get some cap flexibity as E.Gordon is injury prone...but his contract expires!, and N.O get a have a real attacking starting 5 line up with Holiday, Tyreke Evans, Gay, Anthony Davis and Asik. I might add Nick Stauskas for a 2015 first round pick aswell.

New Orleans receive
Rudy Gay (Kings)

Thunder will most likely move Reggie Jackson and Kendrick Perkins at the deadline in MyLeague, I'll be trying to offer a Jason Thompson and Darren Collison deal...Thunder win out here in the deal, but I get a young, good scoring, lightning fast Point guard and Thunder get a nice replacement for the ageing Nick Collison aswell, this improves OKC line up adds alot of depth to there Roster...tho I do run the risk of losing Reggie Jackson in free agency, but thats ok i'll let Kendrick Perkins expire and have plenty off cap space!...

That's some of my possible long term plans so far...would like to get into the 2015 draft either first or second round lot's off good prospects...

I'm also doing a sacramento myleague, but I'm going all in already in season 1, traded landry and Thompson for David West. do you guys think that improved roster can take me to the playoffs and beyond?

I don't think so personally, I don't mind the trade, I don't know if a 34 year old David West makes the Kings a playoff team, from what I can tell the kings are financially committed to there starters...who plain and simply won't get them into the playoffs, I don't think David West changes that, they need way better defenders, they have no defensive presence at all and no draft picks in 2015.

Oh and since you traded 2 PF's for 1...you have no PF in your reserve 5...unless you want to play David West like 45 minutes a game...heavy minutes for a 34 year old!

Game #1 of season 2 with the Jazz

Lost at home against Phoenix 102-92. Eric Bledsoe & Goran Dragic did everything they wanted against me. My rookies, Karl-Anthony Towns & Stanley Johnson, both played very well but my veterans didn't have great games. My bench was absolutely terrible outside of Johnson. Dante Exum, Rodney Hood (0-5 3pt), and Enes Kanter didn't contribute at all and it was the dagger.

Phoenix was more aggressive and had way more FT attempts. I settled for too many jump shots and didn't knock them down. I used a new playbook and edited it to my liking. I put way too many plays in there. I need to really focus on like 24-28 plays and just perfect them. I was running stuff I wasn't accustomed to and didn't know what options the plays had.

All in all I didn't play well but only lost by 10. I was getting absolutely demolished last season so this is actually a step in the right direction. Once I understand my playbook better I'll be more competitive. That and I have to play better team defense. I actually blocked about 10 shots so there were some signs of encouragement.

Some stats that I can remember:

PG Trey Burke had 15 assists. This never happened last year. I moved to more PnR offense and it really paid off as I have Favors/Towns who can both finish at the rim. I think I averaged 4.5 APG last year with Burke.

C Karl-Anthony Towns had 22 pts 14 reb. He was a monster for me and I'm happy I took him #2 overall. I need to hit the practice gym to see his range and what his go-to moves are. I think he had a couple blocks as well.

SG Alec Burks had an excellent shooting night and had 18-20 points for me.

My team can't shoot FT's and it's frustrating as heck. Dante Exum is the guy who kills me with this. Such a great athlete who can get to the line but it's fruitless.

I haven't had this much fun with a NBA 2K basketball game in a LONG time. Game play is excellent and the Jazz is a great group to try and make into a contender.

So in my Celtics MyLeague, I want to be able to play Evan Turner at PG/SG/SF, is their any way to accomplish this while not actually playing?

I'm actually sharing your doubts. however i do have another pf in reggie evans who will get quiet some time on the court as well. that was the idea behind the trade. i had 3 at best mediocre pf and managed to get a decent one in return plus chris copeland. he can if i decide to use rudy gay at pf take up few more minutes at sf too as he is a very good 3 point shooter.

I'm still undecided if that will be my main myleague attempt this year, really having a tough time to decide which team to use.

After running a few test MyLeague's, I decided to run with the Milwaukee Bucks. Tried to go with my Lakers, the Pistons, and the Timberwolves but I got bored with them after a few games. Hope to run a realistic MyLeague with realistic trades and signings.

I wish 10-day contracts would actually work in MyLeague. Meaning players would accept them. Even James Nunnally (a 60 overall) wouldnt accept one while I was testing them. Pretty stupid.

Year two with Knicks. In year one I was able to deal Calderon for two expirings,
which gave me room to sign Anthony Davis, Brandon Knight, and Wesley Mathews. Also signed Mosgov and Darrell Arthur as backups. Drafted Karl towns with the 4th pick.

PG: Knight/Larkin/Prigioni
SG: Matthews/ Hardaway Jr.
SF: Melo/Early/Wear
PF: Davis/Arthur/Acy
C: Towns/Mozgov

I plan on using the lakers and making them into a super team. I started one where I traded nick young, Wesley Johnson, Carlos boozer and lakers 15 1st for kawhi Leonard and boris diaw. I think I cheated the AI though so going to start again. What's a fair trade for kawhi Leonard. I also want to get dante exum because I'm from Australia so what's a fair trade for him. Everyone can go except Randle and Kobe. Cheers

I tested this out to. Only guys I could get to sign them were guys like Brian Skinner (Why is he still in the game?) and Brian Cook.

Does anybody know how to make sure Love reaches free agency? Also, does anybody know how to get Gasol away from memophis. He always re signs there and it's very frustrating as there aren't any other big FA available.

I've tried turning CPU resigning agressiveness down to 0 yet Gasol always re signs with Memphis.

I'm using the Knicks and would like to get a Melo/Love or Melo/Gasol combo.
