Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
Biggest mistake I did was put most of my points into Playmaking and Athleticism instead of Shooting because being an Assist driven roleplaying PG just doesn't impress the coaches.
You want the nuts?
You gotta score. Plain as day.
Getting 10 assists with only 5 buckets even with an A+ teammate grade is still only a "FAIR" performance.Last edited by extremeskins04; 10-27-2014, 07:32 PM.Comment

So what you're saying is you want to be 2013-2014 Kendall Marshall, but still unlock shoe deals, major endorsements, all-star appearances, MVP's? If you don't care about those things, then you can play the game the exact way you want and you won't advance the storyline much, so you'll basically be getting exactly what you want.
If you DO want to advance the storyline, then realize it involves becoming a star in the league, not a role player. So be more realistic about what the game expects from you. In order to become a star you can't put up Kendall Marshall numbers lolComment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
Just wanted to put this out there for anyone that plays PG. If you are not running plays.... you're absolutely missing out on some fun. There are some MONEY plays in Doc Rivers playbook. I have 3 or 4 situational go to plays that have been the difference in some very close games. If anyone is interested in any of these.... I can post when I get home.
Also i noticed Louis Willams plays better than Harden lol. He averages now 15pts per game since he became starter. Havent really played games today, played MyPark whole day got from Rookie to almost pro2Last edited by Slaz; 10-27-2014, 07:59 PM.Comment

What I don't want is my PG to be a 72 OVERALL and being a STARTER in the leage over another PG with an 85 OVERALL.
What I don't want is my PG to be getting 30+ points, 10 assists, 15 rebounds, 6 steals.....at 72 overall and end up beating Stephen Curry in scoring. lol
What I don't want is my PG as a ROOKIE getting 38 minutes each game over all the other players.Last edited by extremeskins04; 10-27-2014, 08:01 PM.Comment

I wasn't saying that and I was giving a rough example.

Those are all valid points. I was mostly responding to your comment about how "you can't get 5 buckets a game if you want to impress the coaches."
I'm a point forward, and I put all my points into athleticism and playmaking just like you did. I average about 21-22 points and 8 assists on 55% shooting. I'm able to score a good amount of points without having to take over the game which is what you're getting at. I am a level 2 jumpshooter lol. Can't throw the ball in the ocean from further than 10 feet away. But I contribute by attacking the rim, getting to the free throw line, and not taking shots outside of my range, and I'm able to put up solid scoring numbers while still distributing.
My team is 5-8 (and hopefully soon to be 6-8, I had to save & quit my current game at the start of the 4th but I'll finish it tonight, we were beating the Raptors in Toronto). But that win total is realistic considering I'm on the 76ers. We're ridiculously young, no vets, highest rated player is Embiid at 83. So I feel like I've found a good balance of scoring, distributing and playing realistic basketball and getting wins and losses that make sense. My teammates are still nerfed to a certain extent but there's nothing I can do about that lol so I'd rather play within the offense and lose than attempt to score 45 every game and win, but get bored. I WILL drag this team to the 8 seed if it kills me, and I'll do it playing team ball lol.Comment

How do you build chemistry? Just winning games? No matter how good my teammate grade is, the chemistry stays below 60%.Comment

Teammate grade, winning, and correct answers in cut scenes, post game interviews, in-game interviews. Don't talk back to your mentor or throw your teammates under the bus lol
I also tweet at my teammates regularly, IDK if that does much for chemistry or not, buy my 5-8 Sixers have a 89% team chemistry.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
I honestly don't think you have to worry about being a 72 overall & averaging 30+points, 10 assists, 15 rebounds, & 6 steals a game & if you were to somehow do that with only a 72 overall rating, that would take an EXTREME/INSANE amount of mental energy & effort on your part.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
Anyone here force to play for the whole game without any substitution? Start to happen in my 2nd season. In my rookie season, the rotation work as intended.
Also, its weird that I got more minutes than Howard and Harden when I check at the my minutes page. My overall is 73.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
I'm not saying you can't get those stats in a few games but what I'm saying is to average all of those numbers on a consistent basis(like in every game) with only a 72 overall rating would be very difficult.Comment
