Has anyone tried not simulating the game while your player sits on the bench? Thought about doing it and seeing if I don't have the crazy 34-8 runs in 3 game minutes that I've been experiencing at times.

When did u get your shoe deal? Not signature shoe, but shoe deal before that. I got the scene where Jackson says Nike and Jordan are watching before my regular season ended of my rookie year. I've since played into the playoffs that year (lost second round), and am now 10 games into my second year. Leading the NBA currently in ppg and team 7-3

I have been thinking about doing this as well just to see how it ends up.

Post results if you end up doing it, I will too.

I wonder if with this method (not simulating) will fix the stupid bug where my coach subs me out with 5 minutes left in the 3rd, then puts me back in with 3 minutes left, in the same quarter.

He doesn't actually come and say anything, it just shows live action from the bench pov, then after the next score, there's a timeout and I get subbed in.

It's so dumb. 2 min rest. Really?

I did this a few times. Take a look: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...postcount=2597

You have to add to that, that I was playing the finals (as top scoring PG) against the Bulls and was sitting on the bench while Rose was already subbed in again which would never ever ever happen in real life.
I've had matches that were tied when I got on the bench and when I came back (skipped the time) the other team lead by 20!

The "sub-cheese", if you want to call it that, is the same when you are sitting on the bench though. You get subbed in 0.2 seconds before the quarter is over, wasting a TO etc.

Hint: some people buy VC. Not me, but a lot of people do.

I'm an 80 overall at the start of December in my 2nd year. I maxed out athleticism right away, hardly touching anything else. Then I started putting everything into playmaking. I'm like level 2 jumpshooter, level 4 inside scorer, level 20 athleticism, level 16 playmaker, level 1 rebounder, level 5 or 6 defender.

Also, IDK if you knew this but there's an NBA2K15 app where you can play this card game once a day and earn up to 3,000 VC

                  2. Are you in your second year? Third year?
                  3. How many VC are you getting per game?
                  4. What kind of stats are you putting up each game?
                  5. What difficulty are you playing on?
                  6. What was your normal attack plan when you first started? Just drive to the basket and get fouls? I can't hit shots for the life of me.

Any tips? I'm a PG but I can't seem to get amazing stats.
Extreme..... I know this post wasn't directed at me but I thought I would put this out there anyway. I am not claiming to be an expert on the game....but it's fun for me so am putting this out there for anyone that is not having fun....with the hope it at least helps with the experience. My PG, in my 3rd year, is a 92 overall. I started out with the Pelicans, was traded to Timberwolves in current year and am ballin' with Dwight Howard and Andrew Wiggins. If it helps anyone.....great. If not.... move on.... no harm done. Everything below applies to my experience with the PG/SG positions on the game.

                  1. Difficulty - I know that on previous versions of the game that there are many here in the forums that think that if you are not playing on HOF level....that the game is too easy. This is not the case. Some are still having success with HOF level....but many more that have posted are not. The game is simply stacked against you to fail on the HOF setting....unless you are just superman. IMO..... Play on Superstar or All Star Sim. Players play much more realistic on either setting and it is a MUCH more enjoyable experience. Lower the difficulty until you can be successful and then raise it up when you start pummeling your opponent.

                  2. Building your player/Badges: This is how I built my PG.....and obviously would not apply to the other big man positions. Concentrate on the scoring classes first. The shooting attributes and athletic attributes. I put 0 attribute points on rebounding. I built the shooting, athletic and defense only. I average 2-5 rebounds a game as a guard with 0 on rebound attributes. I have the shooting attributes and athletic attributes maxed....and am getting close on defense. BADGES make a HUGE difference in how your player executes each specific thing. I recommend getting familiar with the badges, doing everything that is needed to be done to acquire, and make each one GOLD. This link may help..... it did for me. http://www.reddit.com/r/NBA2k/commen...w_to_get_each/

                  3. Teammate chemistry/Coach Satisfaction - It is absolutely crucial that you play each and every game with chemistry and coach satisfaction being your number 1 priority. Do all of the big AND small things that increase your teammate chemistry. Don't turn the ball over, make good passes, set screens, rebound, assists, etc. I average an A+ teammate chemistry rating over my my career. With coach satisfaction.... do everything that is directed in the points of emphasis. You want a green rating at the end of each point. When your coach says run the fast break...***n the fast break. If you're a guard, don't even attempt an offensive rebound.... you want to be able to leak out and run after every miss in transition. If coach says offense runs through you, run it through you. Score, pass to assist, etc. If it's put pressure on defense, shoot early.... these are your biggest chances to freelance. Dribble move....create space.... shoot. If it's get the ball to a specific player....make sure he gets it. Set screens for him....do everything possible to get him the ball and allow to score. I swear to you.... when you're teammate chemistry is high....90 or higher.... you will see a HUGE difference in how your players play the game with you.

                  4. Offensive rhythm and flow/computer AI - In this year's game....it's all about creating rhythm and flow in the offense. Know your teammates.... look at their ratings and tendencies and know what they excel at. You're trying to put them in situations that play into their strongest areas. The AI, in my opinion.....adjusts better and quicker than it ever has. You cannot do the same thing over and over. You cannot just run around and freelance. You cannot even use the same 1 or 2 dribble moves over and over. You have to have literally a whole "bag of tricks". Use a mixed approach. RUN plays.... I cannot stress this enough. There are many GREAT plays that open things up for you as well as your teammates. RUN them until you have favorites. You will get to a point to where you have "go to" plays to break cold streaks, win games, etc. Run the manual pick and roll and mix it up with the players you run it with. Use the roll, pick n pop, and pick n fade. Don't force the ball to a specific player. Take what the play or pick n roll gives you. If it fails....move to the other side of the court...***n it again. Defenders are out of position from the first time you ran it....and sometimes the 2nd time is the charm. There are some great videos on this on youtube by SamPham. Use your D pad quick plays. Call post up plays....basket cuts and isolations. Call an isolation play to yourself to spread out your teammates....THEN call the pick and roll. Get out and run in transition on missed shots. I try not to ever do the exact same thing twice. For example.... I'll come down and run a play that gives me an option for me and another 1-2 teammates. The next time down....I may call a manual pick and roll play. The next time down....I may do the same thing with a different player.... and call the pick n pop. The next time down I may use the d pad and call a post up play to my big. Next time down I may call an isolation.... and try to make a move and go to the hole. You have to keep the defense guessing more than ever. Score until the computer double teams you and pass out to the open man every time. Don't just try to take the ball to the hole on every play and dunk. The mid range jumper is your BEST friend this year. The help defense in the paint is good. When you're open in mid range....pull up and drain it. Finally...if a player gets hot.... ride him until he misses and change things up. The offense has to have RHYTHM and FLOW.

                  5. Defense - IMO....defense this year is all about space and taking great angles. You can't just come up and smother the defender if he is in space in and isolation type situation. Make him beat you with the 3 or the long jump shot. Pick and choose your moments to try to steal. Take chances. Play help defense when your teammates are beat off of the dribble or in poor position. Play over or under pick and rolls and off ball screens. Take more chances. Call double teams on players that are hot....make him beat you with a teammate. Make sure you are watching the coach points of emphasis if it is a defensive one. If it's ....don't give up the 3 point shot....smother them on the outside and make them beat you down low. Same for if it's no inside passes/shots.....play way back and dare him to shoot the 3. If he passes inside....crash down with your help defense. Finally....again.... on turnovers and missed shots....get out and run.

                  6. Miscellaneous (Post game interviews/After game press conference) Make sure each and every response is a compliment or something positive in reference to your teammates. It's never about you. Always respond with a positive answer. Watch your endorsements.... you get opportunities to promote sprint, use Pharell to secure the gatorade deal by tweeting for help, etc.

                  7. Practice and research: I've spent hours on practice gym in my career finding the right jumpshot, looking at signature moves, etc. Combo dribble moves in practice and then see what works in the game. The controller should just be an extension of your mind/creativity....but you have to know how your player is going to react. There are many great videos on YOUTUBE that cover jumpers, dribble moves, ankle breakers, etc. You can learn a TON of tricks by taking some time and seeing what people are doing that works.

The game mode will never be perfect....and I agree that there are many things that can be done to even better the experience.....but I'm having a blast with it. My star teammates are scoring. I'm scoring. We're the number 1 defense in the league....and finally....we are WINNING. I know this is a LONG post.... but hopefully it will improve the experience for somebody out there that is just not enjoying it.

So i take it the rest of the league's games are simulated at 48 Min per game. Is there a way to bump this down? I generally play 6 or 8 min quarters and that's going to impact the league leader milestones overall. Be kind of nice to set the rest of the league's simulation time. I've looked in a variety of options but cant seem to find it.

Nope, you can't. One of the many things this game mode is lacking.
I would play My Team more but the same cheese is happening there. Probably because they want you to spend money for VC...

I play on allstar/sim. Its an offline career so I get pts instead of VC. Around 1100 a game in my third season. First season was horrendous like most, but my career has a bug or something and I've received 84000pts after a game, then again in my third season I received 75000pts after a game. My best tips for pg though are prolly run plays, and master the floater. I let assist come naturally until I got on court coach. Avg 28pts, 8reb, 8ast. Noel and embied are monsters on d. Third season on 76ers, 1st round vs Charlotte, down 2-1. Cleveland down 3-1 to the bucks and raptors were best team in east.
