But if your online character becomes an offline character (skill points instead of VC) then you've lost him.. at least I'm about 80% sure you can't bring them back to online?

So another quick question, any way to improve the chances of your team mates actually passing the ball to you when you request it? Keep trying to get them to throw lobs at me so i can alley oop, and i am constantly ignored. Team mate Chemistry? Point guard ability or tendency? Just would like to get the ball more often.

Currently a PF on Hornets with max athlete.

Also - what does teh playmaking skill affect? Does it influence your dribbling ability? I have zero points in playmaking and am wondering if that will impact the ability to pull off dribble moves.

Yes. Dribbling and passing basically. On the attribute screen when you highlight one of the skill buckets, it will tell you exactly what attributes are being upgraded on the right side of the screen.

Yeah i saw that, but it didn't explicity state dribbling, more like ball control which yeah its indirect but not explicity. Was afraid of that answer.

I am. Played as one last year as well. It's been GREAT so far. I don't want the responsibility of running an offense or setting up assist. I rebound I defend and I set a ton of picks. In my second year and I have yet to shoot more than 23 shots in a game. First year my team went to playoffs as 6th seed. In my second year now with a new team and we have started the year 6-2.

I play on All star by the way.

I'm in February of my 2nd season & I'm a 91 overall. Straight ballin'. Leading the league in scoring @ 32 points per game, about 10 rebounds, & 5 assists a game. Just got named an All-star

I'm sure you're a good player, but I'm not buying how you can go from a 65 OVR to a 91 OVR in less than one year of play cause remember you start your rookie year already halfway through the season. And you're only halfway through your 2nd year.

Even at 32 points a game you wouldn't have enough VC to go to 91 OVR in a short period of time. Your contract isn't big enough in your 2nd year to get that much VC.

I can see you being mid 80's tops, but not over 90. Not without buying VC.

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread

This TWolves team FINDS ways to lose games.. it's pathetic..

In the FULL game vs. New Orleans.. we had 8 assists.. since our point guard put up 18 shots this time.. I'm the ONLY player who makes free throws.. the team shot 16 of 25 and we lost 97-91

I can't make 4th quarter jumpers.. wide open, A- shots that go in otherwise miss in the 4th, and it's not shot fatigue.. the last one I took was only the 19th of the game, in shooting 11 of 19.

Second season record 2-9. The social media name 'Somuchwin29' is begging me not to demand a trade I'll probably wait until the all-star break and jump ship after that so I can be on the West team.. then jump to an Eastern conference playoff contender if this doesn't improve

On the 'Metric' stats.. I'm the ONLY player who's above a 10(let alone a 20) .. for game score.. at 24.0 and 10 is "considered average" Nearly every team that's even .500 had at least 3, if not 4 players at a 10 or higher game score.. not the Wolves in 2K

There are other way to earn VC than playing My Career. You can earn it in the park..... you can earn it daily with the NBA 2K app (I earn anywhere from 1000 - 3000 VC a day).

Some people also got more VC at the beginning than others. I got like 15000 VC with the Gamestop and 2K promos.

If you play a number of Park games every day (and win games there) you can really increase your VC.. besides the people BUYING their VC from 2K or getting pre-order VC.. I only go the PARK route.. only 77 OVR 11 games into second season of course but that's relatively steady increase

I've got ZERO issues with a guy/girl who wants to buy VC. Some people have limited time to play the game and can barely squeeze an hour or two here and there with work, kids, ballgames, etc. They prefer to build their character up so they can enjoy the game when they do play. Not the case with me.....as the promo VC and regular VC is good and I can play almost every afternoon and quite a bit on the weekends..... but to each his own. I've got a buddy who usually buys about 10 to 20 dollars of VC to kickstart his player. I can't argue with his logic..... he buys about 3 or 4 titles a year (MLB The Show, NBA 2K, Assassin's Creed, and COD)..... and he says the 20 dollars he spends on VC is much less than the 60 dollars per game that most people spend playing more games. (ha).

No it's cool. I don't have issues with people using other means of obtaining VC.

I was just commenting on one of the other posters asking how people were getting to 91 OVR in a short period of time, and some people were making it seem like they were doing it by just playing in MyCareer and not other means is all.

I personally won't buy VC and I don't play the Park games. I'm only playing MyPlayer at the moment so it can be somewhat of a struggle getting started with low overall between 65-71 in the first year or so. But I feel it's more realistic this way and more "sim".

I highly recommend the NBA 2K App. It's a card game that takes about 60 seconds a day to earn VC. You will get the equivalent of AT LEAST playing 1 game every day..... and if you hold cards and triple up on the same number.....I've gotten up to 3000 VC on some days....which is the same as playing 3 or 4 games. It adds up..... as you can get a half of season worth of VC over the course of weeks.
