For me I did a center and went to the raptors which I would recommend for that position

They are both fun but I like jumping for the ball at the start of the game. Had a 7'1" 325 C on the Pelicans before I started my more mobile 7'3" 250 for the Bucks. Bucks have a lot of young talent but the Pelicans had Anthony Davis. Had a PF on the Hornets.Chicago Bulls

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
Wizards r one of the cheesiest teams in the game. Wall and beal get to the lane whenever they want and finish EVERYTHING. Plus the amount of and ones they get is absurd, and thats taking into account the ridiculous amount of and 1s the cpu already gets. And u cant go under screens on wall anymore, cuz his 3pt shooting for some reason rivals that of steph curry! Last few times i played washington, wall shot over 50% from 3, and made at least 3 of them.
oh and does anyone here use real fg%, or does everyone just use user timing? Cuz real fg% makes it near impossible to hit shots in game. Which is a shame cuz im in my second season, and im finding that im makeing everything. I like having a realistic fg%, i dont like making everything i put up, but real fg% makes hitting shots unpossible.Last edited by OkayC; 01-15-2015, 05:57 PM.Lakers

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
So...a question for you. You say you average 10+ assists. Do you find your teammates shorting better off your passes compared to when your playmaking stat was not so high? My PG has like level 7 playmaking. My team straight out misses 60% of shots off my passes. Of the other 40%, half the guy gets fouled and the other they make it. The shots are such good looks at the basket yet they brick the sh-t out of them. Wondering if it is a result of a sort of low playmaking skill. Pick and rolls, wide open 3s, does not matter. You would think they were contested shots. They will brick an open 3, then miss a dunk...but the next time down someone else passes to them and they drain those at a rediculous rate. It just pisses me off.
Playmaking affects the "fancy" type of passing - I try to keep everything simple, so that really only kicks in on passing out of double-teams, "long passes in transition" and the like.
Getting everyone to actually play well is really getting to know what the ai tries to do with them. An example where the ai frustrates the heck out of me is with Jeremy Lin. The ai treats him like a "pass-first" pg, even when he is subbing in at SG. Unless I time the shot-clock perfectly, or put him in a situation where no one is open for a pass, he refuses to shoot it.
So, whenever Lin is on the court with me, I tend to use the plays that have a lot of movement and that can breakdown to a kickout. Even then it is still not perfect with him.
Hill and Randle both really play off the glass very well after this last patch. So, if I see one of them or the other under the glass and in decent position to rebound, I'll shoot a slightly off shot so they will rebound and then put it back up. I do that a couple of times and that is usually enough to get them going on their own and they will start passing for assists and helping each other.
Kobe and Swaggy-P are both high volume scorers but in much different ways. Swaggy is very streaky, he may miss 4 shots straight but every once in a while, I'll pop a pass to him in the corner or on a transition break and that will get him going for the next quarter or two on a mini-hot streak.
I know this team very well. With my new PG, I just made, I put him on the Hawks and I am still learning everyone there. So things are a lot more hit-and-miss with this guy so far (averaging 8 assists even with all my tricks).Comment

I do make some really nice looking 2k generics if I do say so myself but it's literally been over a month since this shoe glitch first popped up and still not a word about a fix or what the issue is. I signed with Adidas and probably had a hornets color way of every Adidas shoe in the game.

Can anyone one tell me if the padded arm sleeve has anything with the tempo of your game? I read the description of it when I bought the game, but I also know accessories weren't suppose to affect anything.
However, it seems when I wear it on my shooting hand I am more prone to flash dunks, posterizing, play at a faster tempo.
If I wear it on my off-hand I seem to be more pure point guard prone.
I have been doubling up forever now, and it seems to give me much more versatility, but would not wearing them at all be the same?
Also, to be honest I never messed with the street steam clothing as I always wore an outfit related to my team or team colors. What affect is that suppose to have? I just made Legend (I got so addicted to my team it was ridiculous).2k16 My Team:
PG: CP3, John Wall, Kyrie
SG:Klay Thompson, D.Wade, Kobe
SF: LBJ, Melo, PGeorge
PF: Blake, Aldridge, Duncan
C: '06 Shaq, Cousins, Bosh

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
In my fifth (including the rookie season) season now with the Cavs after King James weirdly went to Indiana in 2018 free agency. Playing easily the best ball of my career, leading the league in scoring with 28 per game, second in rebounds with 13.3 per game and seventh in assists with 8.2 a game as a small forward.
Helped hugely by the amazing play of Kyrie, Dion Waiters and K-Love. Kyrie is averaging 20.2 points and 6.7 assists, Waiters has 10.2 points and 2.8 assists and Love has 16.8 points and 9.2 rebounds. Tristan Thompson is great coming off the bench and it's so nice having a big who can shoot the three. My assist numbers look a little off because I played for the Clippers a few games early in the season and only averaged 5 assists with them. Since trading to Cleveland I've averaged 8.1 in November, 8.6 in December and 8.2 in January.
I'm leading the All-Star voting by over 700,000 votes over the nearest guy, which is Durant, in the other conference. I have 2.6m votes. A few first time All-Stars are Marcus Smart, Eric Bledsoe, Jimmy Butler and Jonas Valenciunas, At the moment I'm leading the race for MVP ahead of Durant, Westbrook, Curry and James. Also second for DPOY but I've been second three years straight to Anthony Davis and I can't see myself beating him any time soon. He's too good. Oddly though, AD is 5th in the list for MIP when his stats don't seem too much better than recent years, although he does have a much better block average.
So yeah, hoping for another ring this year, very confident of it too, this Cleveland team is strong, only think OKC could beat us if we get to the Finals.

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
Chemistry dropped to ~76% due to some roster moves over the offseason.
No, I didn't. For some reason we fired Steve Clifford after a 55-27(2nd in the East) season and hired Doc Rivers who was coming off of a 52-30(4th in the West) season with the Clippers; I don't think either team would have let their coach go after seasons like those.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
I just experienced my most frustrating game this year. I was playing my PG on the Hawks and we were against Houston at home.
We ended up only losing by 10 and that is pretty good considering Horford went down for the season with a "broken ankle". My stat line was: 19pts, 9Ast and 9 rebounds.
The frustrating things in this game were:
1: In the third and fourth quarter, just as we were pulling even with the Rockets, the ai benched me
2: In that fourth quarter with 5 minutes left I was one rebound and one assist away from my first triple double but I was benched at this point, losing both the game and any chance I had.
That was not the most frustrating thing for me - we beat Houston the first time we played them so I expected the Rockets to play extremely well. I also will get plenty of triple doubles with this guy so that was not the most frustrating thing. The most frustrating thing was:
3: I started to learn how to play with Horford and was just starting to click with him and now he is out. Now I have Elton Brand in his place. The silver lining is I also had a break-through with Milsap and I found a simple low-post play for future use. He is a mix between a traditional player and an "athletic finisher at the rim" type of player.
Still sucks that we lost. We at .500 and still in the 6th seed. I just hope losing Horford does not tank the end of the season for us.Comment

How was Millsap playing when Horford was still healthy? Were/are there any good plays that you found for him? We(Hornets) traded for Millsap and I can't find any good plays to run for him with Big Al on the floor with him. His stats have dropped from 17.7 ppg and 9.1 rpg to 15.8 ppg and 8.4 rpg and he rarely has 20/10 or even 15/10 games.Last edited by nova91; 01-16-2015, 02:10 PM.Say "No" to railroaded MC modes.Comment

PG: Me/Teague
SG: Korver/Me
SF: Carrol/Sefolosha
PF: Milsap/Scott
C: Horford/Antic
When injured:
PG: Me/Teague
SG: Korver/Me
SF: Carrol/Sefolosha
PG: Milsap/Scott
C: Brand(?!)/Antic
I don't remember the actual names of the plays but the set he seems to "get going" on are the drive/kickout plays where the PG is at the top of the 3pt arc, the SG and SF are in the corners and the two bigs are just outside the paint looking to post up.
To get him going, I let the play advance and "break-down" At this point the primary play changes to a simple post-up to either post-player. Milsap is usually the guy on the right at this point, so I throw a simple bounce pass to him and rotate to the right corner.
At this point the right corner wing (usually the SF) will rotate left to the top of the arc. Milsap will do obe of two things at this point. He will try to backdown a bit or he will kick out to me in the corner.
If he drives with his back to the basket, the Center will curl into the paint at which point Milsap will shoot. If Milsap's matchup at this point is a favorable match, I allow this to happen. If it is unfavorable (ie against Howard) I demand a pass out. If he scores in a favorable matchup, it usually snowballed to playing better defense...
If he kicks it out to me, I rotate back to the middle of the arc, at which point, usually Milsap's man will come out to double-team me. If and when this happens, Milsap breaks for the basket and I can then pass it to him for an immediate lay-up/dunk attempt. (random which he does). If he dunks, it will get him going offensively and he'll become active in more rebounding and put-back situations. If he does a layup, he will usually need another similar play ran the same way to get him going.
The Hawks have a "kickout" emphasis that the coach activates ( In 3 seasons on the Lakers I have not seen this) so this might help the play develop the way it does.
It only has been one game so far but this is the only play and situation I've found so far.
I have a feeling that many people do not let the plays advance or they do not have the "full" playmaking enabled so many alternatives are not used. Kobe's best plays are often 3rd or 4th options on plays and if you never use them it is hard to discover ways to get him going. Right now I am experimenting with the Hawks, trying to find these ...
Hope this helps. Sorry for the wall of text.
Edit: If I get a 15/10 game out of him (as 3rd option) I am happy. Going forward with Horford out and him becoming second option I am a little worried how the rest of the season will ho. I think I need to find one or two more plays that will work with him to advance him to the next level. If I only have the one play, the ai will adjust and it will stifle his play over time.Last edited by Taer; 01-16-2015, 04:23 PM.Comment
