When healthy, the Hawk lineup (1-14 2K official line-up) was:

PG: Me/Teague
SG: Korver/Me
SF: Carrol/Sefolosha
PF: Milsap/Scott
C: Horford/Antic

When injured:

PG: Me/Teague
SG: Korver/Me
SF: Carrol/Sefolosha
PG: Milsap/Scott
C: Brand(?!)/Antic

I don't remember the actual names of the plays but the set he seems to "get going" on are the drive/kickout plays where the PG is at the top of the 3pt arc, the SG and SF are in the corners and the two bigs are just outside the paint looking to post up.

To get him going, I let the play advance and "break-down" At this point the primary play changes to a simple post-up to either post-player. Milsap is usually the guy on the right at this point, so I throw a simple bounce pass to him and rotate to the right corner.

At this point the right corner wing (usually the SF) will rotate left to the top of the arc. Milsap will do obe of two things at this point. He will try to backdown a bit or he will kick out to me in the corner.

If he drives with his back to the basket, the Center will curl into the paint at which point Milsap will shoot. If Milsap's matchup at this point is a favorable match, I allow this to happen. If it is unfavorable (ie against Howard) I demand a pass out. If he scores in a favorable matchup, it usually snowballed to playing better defense...

If he kicks it out to me, I rotate back to the middle of the arc, at which point, usually Milsap's man will come out to double-team me. If and when this happens, Milsap breaks for the basket and I can then pass it to him for an immediate lay-up/dunk attempt. (random which he does). If he dunks, it will get him going offensively and he'll become active in more rebounding and put-back situations. If he does a layup, he will usually need another similar play ran the same way to get him going.

The Hawks have a "kickout" emphasis that the coach activates ( In 3 seasons on the Lakers I have not seen this) so this might help the play develop the way it does.

It only has been one game so far but this is the only play and situation I've found so far.

I have a feeling that many people do not let the plays advance or they do not have the "full" playmaking enabled so many alternatives are not used. Kobe's best plays are often 3rd or 4th options on plays and if you never use them it is hard to discover ways to get him going. Right now I am experimenting with the Hawks, trying to find these ...

Edit: If I get a 15/10 game out of him (as 3rd option) I am happy. Going forward with Horford out and him becoming second option I am a little worried how the rest of the season will ho. I think I need to find one or two more plays that will work with him to advance him to the next level. If I only have the one play, the ai will adjust and it will stifle his play over time.

No problem with the wall of text; it is extremely helpful. I can't wait to finally play again and try some of these tips.

Millsap is currently the 4th option with us on the Hornets, 5th when Stephenson is healthy. I try setting up in '3 out 2 in' and running plays from there. But when/if the play breaks down Millsap is reluctant to shoot and Hairston and Walker tend to chuck 3s; Hairston I can live with but 3s are not Walkers strong suit.

I guess I have to go through trial and error in-game to figure out what plays work well consistently and which ones don't. I hope in next years MC you can have a true practice mode to work on learning plays and the the scrimmage to work on executing them.

I know what you're saying about the CPU shutting down a players go to play, they did that to Big Al a lot through the season before I got OCC and could call plays for him.

Beat the Elites in the Rising Star Game and beat to the East. Lost the 3pt contest and dunk contest.

Got Closer and Lob City Passer in the All-star game. I earned 40 badges but it shows 39.

I didn't know you could still get badges while your in the all star game. I wanna get lob city finisher. Already have lob city passer since rookie year.

They both difficult to get since oops get thrown away and players get bumped.

Yeah someone said you can so I just went to put it to the test. Closer was just a nice surprise.

Hopefully I can earn most of those badges back on my PG.

If you're running a build that gets on-court coach, it becomes much easier. They will always throw the lob when requested.

I'm going for this on my PG. At level 16 in Playmaking so far so Floor General and On Court Coach are coming. How much of a boost does Floor General give?

With my SF I notice the defensive anchor with the great defense we play.

How do I stop getting sucked into the ballhandler? Namely on Park (since cpu AI is too slow to respond on HOF; or they take a long time to shoot when wideopen anyway), I always hedge out into the defender and then pull back because my guy is 6-9, long, and fully capped, so I can rotate back over to my guy with no problem as long as I don't sprint to the wrong place.

But at least half the time I hedge, my guy gets forced into the ballhandler animation, and that alone takes about 3 seconds before I can get off him. So naturally they just pass it back or oop it to the guy I'm supposed to check because my teammate doesn't switch (not his fault).

You know that animation where you stay in front of the ballhandler and it forces him to turn around or sometimes pick up his dribble. Great and all when it's your guy. Extremely harmful when it's not in 3v3. Just lost a game because of that and it's happening a lot. Not sure what I'm doing to trigger it, or I'm just no longer going to hedge and let them shoot the wide open jumpers.

Tired of this game forcing animations on me.

floor general is amazing for the rec. a team of 3-5 Floor generals, it doesn't take much to get hot.

but it helps considerably

Playing as a PG and playing the Thunder truly is a test of your patience. Keeping Wesbrook out of the lane is impossible, partially because my teammates rotations and help defense is awful, and their shooters (Durant, Jackson, Lamb, and Morrow) never miss.

I got to the off season and had 3 guys try and persuade me to join there team and I didn't know what they were saying because apparently I'm supposed to be psychic to mutes?
