    We were discussing 2 Guards

Well those two teams have Rondo and Lawson, then they have Bradley and Afflalo, and while they aren't all stars, they are starters, then they have Smart and Harris, who are their future guards, so they aren't going to sacrifice their minutes and development for Gordon.

You do know the triangle doesn't need a PG who can break down a D right? I see your points which is why I didn't trade shump I was just kinda rambling there. Millsap is a good name NYK should look at I agree with you there. And a PG who can shred a defense is always great to have the triangle just doesn't particularly need one but it does need a PG who can shoot but the breaking down isn't needed as much.

So Rondo has just opted to test free agency in the offseason, and while I'm not a huge fan of him, he is a huge part of this team, and I feel we have the best opportunity of winning this season with him on the team, but I was just offered a huge trade by the Nuggets.

Celtics Receive: Ty Lawson, 2017 1st Round Pick

          Nuggets Receive: Rajon Rondo

I'm not totally sure if this is fair or not for the Nuggets. The Celtics obviously get a good deal as they get an excellent passer and an excellent shooter in Lawson, plus he's under contract for the two more seasons, plus a future first round pick that could potentially be a early-to-mid round pick come 2017. I also don't think I'd be able to resign Rondo next season as he will be looking for a big raise, something I'm not willing to give him.

The Nuggets would be taking on the best passer in the league while freeing up money for the offseason to either resign Rondo, or go for someone like Brandon Knight, Patrick Beverley, or Reggie Jackson.

Honestly, I would like to make this deal as I'm a fan of Lawson, but we're only three games into the season, and I don't want to screw the computer if it's unfair. Also, I just lost Bradley for a couple months to a torn MCL, so Lawson would add some more scoring to the lineup during his absence.

          Opinions?

Do you think a four year, $65M extension would get it done? It could be either $16.25M per season, or start at $15.5M and go up $500K each season. It would be similar to Westbrook's deal.

I'm running with Philly and Embiid is out for the year. Would it be realistic to move MCW? Not really a fan of his game.

I think around draft day there were some rumors that Philly was looking to move MCW, but I ain't positive.

There were rumors around the draft and it sounds like they still really want to move him.

                    Straight up trade...

                    Trey Burke for Elfrid Payton.

                    Realistic or no?

Burke is a speedy shooter ala Monta Ellis, with good passing ability. Also has 2 option years
Payton is a defensive guard with no range, but has a 2+2 contract.

I'm the Jazz, I'm trading away Burke for Payton to facilitate Exum starting, and having a non-shooter backup that can defend tough guards.

Nothing else is traded, no picks, no role players. 1 for 1.

Also, what would be a good trade for Alec Burks (76). Has an expiring contract, and isn't showing interest in staying part of the team. First season.

I don't see a reason why the Magic would reject that trade. What are you looking for in return for Burks?

Preferably a player with a longer term contract. I have plenty of cash under the cap, and I want to add a player that can be a bit more consistent on the shot.

I offered around, and I had some real ridiculous offers, including...
                        Burks/BKN2nd2016 for Wroten/Sims
                        Burks/GS1st2015 for Mayo/Raduljica
                        Burks for M.Miller/Mem1st2016
                        Burks/GS1st2015 for Bradley/T.Zeller
                        Burks for T.Allen/Mem1st2017

                        Here it becomes really silly
                        Burks/Hood for Prof. X/Swaggy P
                        Burks/UTA1st2015 for Lance Stephenson
                        Burks/UTA2nd2015 for Iman Shumpert
                        Burks/UTA1st2016 for Monta Ellis
                        Burks/UTA2nd2015 for Afflalo/Den2nd2015
                        Burks/Was2nd2015 for Louis Williams
                        Burks/GS1st2015 for Danny Green
                        Burks/GS1st2015 for Bledsoe
                        Burks/BKN2nd2016 for K-Mart
Burks/UTA1st2015 for Klay Thompson (GTFO game)

Basically, because I got 6.62M of cap space, teams are offering me ridiculous trades that make no sense for the other team.

What i'm looking for is either a combo-guard or a swingman that can bring a good shooting touch. Gordon Hayward is my main scoring option, and Alec Burks right now is my #2. So I would really need a new #2 for him, one that doesn't have an expiring contract either.

You should try for Randy Foye. He can drain 3's, and is under contract for next season. If you want someone with an even longer contract, you could look at J.J. Reddick and Jodie Meeks.

Foye is at OKC, LAC doesn't want to trade Redick, and Meeks is a 1 year guy.

                            What about Burks for McDermott?

Doug is a second string player in Chicago behind Butler and Brooks, he's a rookie and Burks is an established scorer in his own right.
