I pre-loaded, booted up the game at 11:00 pm CST on the dot. it is now 1:54 pm and I am at 29/47 gigs. there's not enough patience in the world to deal with this nonsense.

You probably didn't download the file after you pre ordered. If you just do pre order it won't initiate the download automatically

Yeah but to be fair their should be a progress bar or a screen that explains what's happening somewhere. No way installing a game should be this confusing to the consumer.

Of the 3 steps there are 2 bars but I agree I was confused at first on the unpack too and I didn't have anyone to ask lol

Same. I think some of the ppl that pre-loaded didn't let the game fully download, which is why they're having issues. Like you, I let mine fully download on Sunday, and come 11pm (central time) last night, I was running with my Bucks.

I cant speak for everyone, but I fully downloaded the game on sunday also, it said it was done and I could play on October 7th. Regardless of how anxious I may have been to play, there is only one button I could have hit to do so. When I hit said button, instead of going to the game, or unpacking, or anything else, it started downloading again...the whole thing. At 9 this morning when I booted the game up it was 61% done and I could play the demo game.

I fail to see how anything I could have done would have affected this outcome. There were no steps to take, it should have been: Game downloaded; start game; play game and thats not whats happened.

While some people may be being impatient, I personally feel that me and the many people Ive seen having the same problem have been more than patient. I took the steps necessary to eliminate wait time and play the game at release and was rejected like a Cody Zeller jumper.

I know nothing can be done about it but saying over and over again that we just arent doing right isnt constructive at all. A little empathy would be nice since we are all obviously huge fans of the game and want to play. If its not done when I get off work I just may cry.

I'm so confused, so does the CD make you download the game off the internet? Or locally?

Locally. The download to your HDD should be more consistent from the disc. Most of the issues are coming internet downloads which have a lot more variables

Wait, it's actually taking people nearly 24 hours?

It took me less than an hour to be able to access the main menu.

Thanks. I hope thats the case. I noticed those who got the game disc earlier(before the update was available) didnt mention any problems, the problems arose when the update was released and the download of it happened automatically just after the installation of the game.

So we just randomly keep backing out of the demo and going back in to see if we get lucky enough to get to the menu? I'm just confused because I never had any issues like this with any other game I've gotten for the PS4 so far

Just got home with the game...put the disk in, it downloaded something quick, then i got put into spurs vs heat...then another notification saying to download another quick update and to exit out of the "demo"...did that and it installed, then back to spurs vs. heat...

I see no progress notification or anything...are people saying to just let it unpack in the background for 30-60 minutes and then exit out of the demo to see if I can access the main menu?

Is anyone else having issues trying to launch the game during download? I have XBONE and everytime I attempt to launch the game I get a message saying "Something went wrong. Give it another try. If this happens again, let us know by entering 0x800706f4 at xbox.com/errorhelp so we can investigate"

After entering the code, I see others have had this same issue. I tried a hard reset and it still isn't working. Anyone else?
