Just curious: What does 2KTV or roster updates have to do with any other issues?Originally posted by ItsJustaGame

Re: Petition To Patch Input Delay

Im only a park player online and I always had a game or two with bad lag or input delay. not great, but ok, one out of every 10-15 games... i can deal with it. but since sunday i cannot get in a game without some problems.

tried everything, router, connection, re installed the game...its absolutely unplayable at the moment. either i get waiting for opponent right from the get go, the games starts lagging after 1-2 minutes or the input delay is at 1.5 sec or higher.

even in a park with just 5 other guys it was laggy as hell. at this point i dont want to play this game anymore. Comment

Re: Petition To Patch Input Delay

There are a couple of issues I have noticed since I played the Park and Rec center for the first time. To be fair I only have the $40 net from ATT and I set up the wifi myself for my tablets, etc. My download and upload speeds suck but I can play 2K15 online while running a torrent as someone here usually is, and playing the My2k15 on my android while waiting on park games to end. The only negatives I have seen are that in the Jordan Rec center you seem to need a really fast release, I set my MyPlayer's releases every year at either late Tony Parker or late Steve Nash. So, I cannot get a good release on jumpshots in the Rec. As for the Park, there is a problem that occurs maybe once every 4 or 5 games: My player slows way way down and then everybody speeds up blazing fast.Comment

Re: Petition To Patch Input Delay

OK I just played an online quick game of Madden followed by an online quick match game of 2k. I'm going to grade both experiences and talk about them individually and collectively. So I jumped on Madden and attempted to go to the lobbies but couldn't find any players in any of the lobbies. After I seen no one was in any lobbies in my area I went to quick match. I immediately could notice some lag once the game started. In Madden the lag comes in these miniature hiccups so you have intermittent moments of lag. It doesn't affect gameplay or controls as much as 2k. I also noticed some lag in the play calling menu but if you take your time its not too bad. I rate the lag a 2.5/5. As far as 2k, I could notice a significant amount of lag as soon as tip off was complete. The lag is consistent online in 2k15. There weren't any moments in the game where the lag wasn't noticeable. It is especially noticeable when shooting jump shots and with overall movement. I use Tor and Mia and I pretty much know the sig shots. For this particular online game I used Tor. I don't really have problems shooting offline but the lag online makes it extremely difficult. I rate the lag online in 2k 4.5/5. The lag pretty much makes the game unplayable online IMO. Honestly I think 2k should go strictly by real shot percentage or find some way to compensate for the lag. As far as player movement, I don't what to tell em.Last edited by bumpyface; 11-19-2014, 11:53 PM.Comment

Re: Petition To Patch Input Delay

Please just stop focusing on Online its so much more than that. Input delay in blocks, in sprint animations, getting caught in ultra slow animations and not being able to do ANYTHING to get out (Im lookin at you pick-up animation).

Go into the NBA Blacktop, pick 2 point's to 1 on 1 and just try to out dribble. All the time inputs get missed or lag behind, the animations are so slow sometimes its annoying. I input to do a spin, and a second and a half later he finally does one and puts the ball right on the defender.

Seriously, 2k13 felt sooooo much smoother to me on the 360 than this. Its soooo frustrating.Comment

You have a great point because it is so much more than online. I almost forgot about the spin move delay. It never took this long to execute a spin move in previous versions. Please just stop focusing on Online its so much more than that. Answer from 2K Support about massive input lag:

Thanks for contacting 2K Support with your inquiry. We have already been made aware of the issue you're experiencing.
We're currently waiting for a resolution from the developers for this issue. Hopefully it will be addressed in an upcoming patch.Comment

Re: Petition To Patch Input Delay

If this was fixed, online and offline lag, I would play this game all the time. I sold it though for $45. Defense is unplayable. I can't even play on ball defense even offline. Online is horrendous.

We all know 2k has a great game, but the one big perk of Live is the on ball defense. I go mono e mono when I play my friends. And even though people say steals are too easy at least it's responsive.

This is the problem. This and the slow motion players move in occasionally. They do it to make the game look pretty but dunks and other animations could speed up. Fix those things, online and offline lag/input lag and this game is a 10/10.

 Without it. 7/10.

I'm probably going to buy the game for $30 today from wal mart for the pre black friday sale. But if this doesn't get patched I'll sell it again. If your wondering why I sold it it's because I got more than I would have to pay on black FridayLast edited by zrohman; 11-21-2014, 12:22 PM.Comment
