Re: Petition To Patch Input Delay

wifi has absolutely nothing to do with it my friend. I started out using wifi with 100% connection then switched to automatic after noticing the horrible lag online. Guess what, same result!are many of you aware of the new momentum when it comes to defensive movements?this delayed you guys are speaking of when moving from left to right is intentional. jump shot releases have always been slower online than offline so there is no lag there. Players have to bend knees before jumping like in 2K8 which is seen as delayed input too many people also. Everything is about anticipation you can't move at the drop of a dime anymore on defense.

now if you are using a wifi connection when playing online you are kicking your own self in the butt because I had had many server issues when I played on wifi. I bought an ethernet cord and now everything is goodComment

Re: Petition To Patch Input Delay

I think there are 2 issues being reported here. First is the online lag which has plagued the series for most of it's existence and the second is input lag. Concerning the online lag and delay, 2k has to do better. I know COD and 2k are 2 different genres, but C'mon man! There is no way I should be able to play a dozen COD domination matches with 12 people in the match and not experience any lag, but I can't play a 1 vs 1 match in 2k without having to call up Miss Cleo before every button input. All jokes aside its unacceptable. Secondly, the input delay is another story. Its present on and offline. An example would be the spin move or trying to block shots. Like others I constantly have instances where I press the triangle button and there is a 2 second delay or my player doesn't even jump at all. The player may just stand there or go into a take a charge stance. C'mon how did this make it past the testers before release? I hear all the talk about momentum this and that, but Madden accounts for momentum as well but the response is fluid and crisp. Another thing that irks me is I'll have my big highlighted trying to position for a rebound after a shot is put up and he'll take it upon himself to try and contest a jump shot of a player that's 15 ft away. So its ok for the cpu to determine when I should contest a shot but when I press triangle nothing happens? That's bull**** man. I doubt if a patch can address these issues either. We're probably just S.O.L.Comment

Re: Petition To Patch Input Delay

Probably has to do with the fact 2K is focusing on the glitz and glamour of the game and still hasn't addressed the core issues like massive delay in every online game. How ridiculous is that???Comment

Re: Petition To Patch Input Delay

Going to have to agree with the input delay and all I play is offline. There is a noticeable delay, particularly when it comes to player movement and dribbling moves.

I noticed this issue on Day 1 and it is really killing the experience for me. IMO the game play is the best in the business with the exception of this issue. Hopefully it can be fixed in a patch..Comment

Re: Petition To Patch Input Delay

Has anyone played Online Ranked recently?

Just wondering if there has been any positive change. I haven't given it a try in around 2-3 weeks since the lag always makes me want to quit 5 minutes into the game and I've never been one to abandon online matches.Comment

Re: Petition To Patch Input Delay

This is the first 2k ever i have not played on a consistent basisIf this was fixed, online and offline lag, I would play this game all the time. I sold it though for $45. Defense is unplayable. I can't even play on ball defense even offline. Online is horrendous.

We all know 2k has a great game, but the one big perk of Live is the on ball defense. I go mono e mono when I play my friends. And even though people say steals are too easy at least it's responsive.

This is the problem. This and the slow motion players move in occasionally. They do it to make the game look pretty but dunks and other animations could speed up. Fix those things, online and offline lag/input lag and this game is a 10/10.

 Without it. 7/10.

I'm probably going to buy the game for $30 today from wal mart for the pre black friday sale. But if this doesn't get patched I'll sell it again. If your wondering why I sold it it's because I got more than I would have to pay on black FridaySLIDERS SUCKComment

Re: Petition To Patch Input Delay

I fixed input delay in NBA 2k15 on PC. I play with a PS3 controller on PC and use a program called Better DS3 that masks the PS3 controller as a Xbox 360 controller which is fully compatible with most if not all PC games that are also on console. Well on the settings in DS3, you're able to adjust the Deadzone on the controller. Dead zone is how much you have to depress the buttons on the controller before it's recognized in the game. Problem is that sports games, and racing games need precise handling. I put the deadzone on 0% and boom, no more "input delay". Not sure how to do this on consoles or with another type of controller.Comment
