Re: Petition To Patch Input Delay

Online play is a JOKE. With the delay it's virtually impossible to play anything that even resembles basketball...and forget about defense.

NBA players move around like they are 10 guys all having seizures at the same time.

 It is unplayable.

The fact that they are adding shoes and other nonsense when they can't even provide a half-decent online experience speaks volumes. It's especially disappointing after learning that this was supposed to be something that 2K made a "priority".

This game is the worst online experience I've ever had. I can go back almost 10 years and remember playing games online with more responsiveness than this game. How is that even possible!?!?Comment

Re: Petition To Patch Input Delay

Sorry to say, but I'm gonna join in and request an inpur-delay-patch asap. I've been playing for a few weeks now and have become totally frustrated playing defense. At first I thought it was me or my PC (I have a very powerful machine so that's not it), but reading this makes me realize how widespread the problem is. No play on-ball defense when your man is already past you before you take a step. Zone? Nope as when defending the paint, you jump way to late to play 'D'. Just yesterday my frustration hit its now current high as I tried to block a layup and no only did my player jump to late to contest the shot, he goaltended the ball after it hit the rim. SMH.

C'mon 2K, stop shipping unplayable games. This patch should be at the top of the list or else 2K15 is to be considered an unfinished game.PSN: KarlMarx24Comment

Re: Petition To Patch Input Delay

Weird that at first, I wasn't experiencing any problems with the controls. But recently, I've suffered my players constantly not jumping when I press Y. They like to either not do anything or just put their arms up when I press to jump.

Also, post defenders like to flop for no reason when I control them. The hell is that? I never ever even touch the B button on defense. Ever. This is all offline, btw.Comment

Re: Petition To Patch Input Delay

are many of you aware of the new momentum when it comes to defensive movements?this delayed you guys are speaking of when moving from left to right is intentional. jump shot releases have always been slower online than offline so there is no lag there. Players have to bend knees before jumping like in 2K8 which is seen as delayed input too many people also. Everything is about anticipation you can't move at the drop of a dime anymore on defense.

now if you are using a wifi connection when playing online you are kicking your own self in the butt because I had had many server issues when I played on wifi. I bought an ethernet cord and now everything is goodLast edited by thedream2k13; 11-14-2014, 09:40 AM.#SIMNATION

Re: Petition To Patch Input Delay

100 mpbs optic fiber connection and i'm aware of momentum delay offline (no problems for me there). But online has got delayed controls like hell that it affects everything in negative way. Massive difference of how same player is responsive offline and online.are many of you aware of the new momentum when it comes to defensive movements?this delayed you guys are speaking of when moving from left to right is intentional. jump shot releases have always been slower online than offline so there is no lag there. The way online controls is inexcusable in 2k's part, they should at least inform us that they're aware of it and trying to fix.Last edited by Vroman; 11-14-2014, 09:50 AM.Comment

Re: Petition To Patch Input Delay

No That isn't it all . ... It's straight up delay Not momentum . Press a button the animation , including the knee bending , starts Seconds late. And you're telling me the sliding on defense is intentional when the offensive players are abusing the left at right cheese and the park ? Then that's a stupid implemention because your player literally moves like a 18 wheeler on ice skates with no controlled movements or coordinationare many of you aware of the new momentum when it comes to defensive movements?this delayed you guys are speaking of when moving from left to right is intentional. jump shot releases have always been slower online than offline so there is no lag there. A couple of days ago I had 3 good games back to back to back with no delay at all.

I got on yesterday and it was back to its old ways. So things do move efficiently when you have a good connection.

I'm running on 100mb straight wired internet connection.

 This complaint is valid.

Re: Petition To Patch Input Delay

I think we all know there's always been too much input lag online, but there's definitely too much input delay playing offline this year.

It's immediately noticeable having played the PC version and now playing on PS4. There was no such delay on PC, but there's input lag on PS4 to the point where you're having to anticipate rebounding misses, reactions to movement, even in-game menus. Heck, even change of possessions when inbounding take much longer!

Since it's fine on PC I'm only concerned it might be a hardware issue with the PS4 HDD being too slow or something else that can't be worked around. If I recall Battlefield 4 had this issue and was patched (took a while but they did it) so I hope this is a high priority for those in charge.Comment
