If you want to become a better ball handler in 2K, shooting with the pro stick is vital. The only thing you'd need square for is a spin jumper and gather shots.

With your thumb not being forced to move as much, it's easier to put your players on a 'yo-yo'

Would you recommend leaving it on default or switching it to shooting/isomotion or isomotion/shooting.

I usually set POE to 2-3 zone offense and space the floor
And I will run some horn sets here and there, most of the time I will kill my opponent with wide open 3's
But when your 3's not falling(mainly due to lag for me), what more can I do?
Patience is the biggest key to beating the zone online because everyone is going to do something differently but the thing that stays the same is they won't guard you. If you switch it to motion cuts a lot of times if you penetrate the zone you'll be able to hit a cutter moving towards the basket. If you leave it on space the floor call a screen from the man in the high post area and make them play off of the screen and open threes you're going to get off the screen. Make them keep guessing and most times they will just quit because they can't figure out who to guard and for some reason they do t think to just switch back to man.

What do you recommend using for offensive set and freelance offense for the Warriors?

Default. Absolute. Absolute allows left to be left and right to be right no matter the camera.

Pace. Especially with the shooters they have in the starting five. 4-1 with motion cuts would also be deadly

I think the absolute will also help, reduce the accidental shots I have been putting up when I mean to dribble. Thanks!!

Maybe a stupid question, but would love input.

If I set my offensive and defensive play calling to MANUAL, but do not initiate a play call. What will my team do, stand around and wait or move around creating openings on the fly.

I ask, because I don't have plays memorized and when playing couch multiplayer your buddy can see you play diagram.

Any tips on reading a play diagram through the "lite" play diagram setting?

                  Thanks

Can someone recommend a good freelance to run with the wizards? Also, can someone break down to me what the defensive settings mean. Some are obvious tight, deny, front, etc. By I don't understand ice, hedge or the 3/4 and other options for defense in the post. If this was explained earlier I apologize, I haven't read the whole thread. Thanks.

Thanks I started with a 3-2 but have recently been experimenting with the 80. The knock on Whitman in real life is he is stuck on the 80s with his basketball strategy so running the 80 in the game will just mimic real life, haha.

Can anyone help explain ice, hedge, and some of the other less well known defensive settings and when the appropriate times to use them are?

Does anybody have success using the "get open" command from the d-pad? If, so when do you utilize it? I have yet to see any of my teammates who are assigned the prompt in the d-pad actually get open. They stutter step initially to get open and then abandon it all completely. Do I need to take control of given player I prompted to "get open"?

                          Thanks OS community.

So it might be a little hard to explain with no images and I'm not sure I quite now what they do, but I'll try to give my understanding of them and how they are used.

                            Soft Hedge-
With soft hedge when the ball handler comes around the screen the defensive big man will show a little and try to bump him quickly, before recovering to cover the roll man. Hoping that the guard has negated the pick quickly and efficiently enough to get back to the ball handler.

My guess is soft hedge is used to discourage point guards that come around screens and look to drive immediately

                            Hard Hedge-
With the hard hedge when the ball handler comes around the screen the defensive big will pick up the ball handler and play him tight UNTIL the defensive guard recovers and picks the ball handler back up. Once the defensive guard has resumed guarding the ball handler the defensive big will recover to the roll man.

With the ball handler always being covered either by the hedging big or recovering guard this is used for guards who come off the screen and you can't give any space to (Think Steph Curry) because if they are giving any space they will let it fly.

                            Ice-
Defensively your big man will drop back into the paint and the defending guard is supposed to try and jump the pick early to deter the ball handler from using the pick and forcing them into the big. Trying to keep the ball on oneside so it is easy to defend.

Not quite sure when to use this, I'm guessing on guards that are limited shooters and teams you want to contain on one side of the floor.

I think Sam Pham or someone else has youtube video explaining the Ice concept in 2k15. Hope that helps
