Yep, as I always say....add 5v5 to Park and let that mode be for arcade street ball; tighten up the play in Rec Center and let that mode be for simulation ball.

Yeah IDK why they took 5v5 out of park considering that's where I made a lot of friends. Just from playing the way I play. Which is good shot selection and good passes to open guys. Or basically fundamental BBALL guys would always chat like 'you got a mic dude' then we would run 3v3 or get a better 5 but having that 5v5 in the middle was perfect.

I wouldn't even be mad @ a 4v4 to be honest. We need more choice TBH. We spend a lot of money on this game.

People that want to play basketball are going to buy the game either way man. There are #ArcadeNation and #SimNation modes. MyPlayer and Park are not realistic modes of basketball. They will never be because they are for the casuals. Get over it fellas. That is their realm. Those are the people that are willing to spend the $, not us hardcore fans.

The end of the day, the goal is to make $. That is what they will do.

We, realistic basketball video game players, have our modes. Let the casuals have their modes.

They might buy the game but will they continue playing the game through January if the game is too difficult? Absolutely not. And if the game is too difficult, will that same person buy the game next year? We can't guarantee that.

          We are being short-sighted here.

And really, ever since they brought in the story stuff it's even easier and that's without VC. Buy VC and you're better than MJ or Lebron wished they coulda been their rookie year.

The game will never be balanced in these modes until 2K creates some HARD caps:

NO centers with over a 70 shot, speed, or ballhandling.
NO pfs with over an 80 shot, speed, ballhandle, and a max of 6'11.
            ....
Small forwards need major work. If you got a 95 speed, you can't have a handle like AI and a block/rebound like DeAndre. And no way you're over 6'10.

You do have a point, but there's the other side of it:

Will he keep playing if he's getting worked by 100 other Jordans? Will he keep playing offline if it's just too easy and becomes boring?

I say you have as much, if not more, of that risk of boring people, than those that get frustrated with a challenging game. All I know is that chess is not easy and people LOVE it because of that depth and variety.

Agree 100% on this .. I have pretty much stopped playing 2k15 months ago cause of boredom cause playing with 7 foot jordans in the park and even before they was around it's is just the same game everytime with zig zagging, shoot a 3.... repeat, and offline against the cpu is stale and monotonous.

                  WE enjoy the challenge.

WE enjoy the dept and variety.

A LOT of people just want to play with their 95 speed 7'3 SF and dunk on folks. A LARGE number of people want to do that.

2K knows that, and that is why those modes are catered to them

That's why we're trying to differentiate between My Park and this ProAm or even the Rec Center.

My Park is fun when you're screwing around. Go on a nice little win streak, learn your dribbles and shot, throw some oops, don't worry bout d; it's just the arcade mode.
Keep it how it is...I mean try to fix the double dribble glitch, zig zags, and screen cheese but that's obvious..don't expect to see "real" basketball in a 3v3 fullcourt game I guess.

But when you go to the Rec/ProAm (however it's going to be), why can't it be sim-oriented? Fouls should be called on-par with the real game. Shouldn't be able to dribble for 20 seconds every possession. Shouldn't be able to jack terrible shots and have them go in.
Basically nothing from the Park should translate as a viable gameplan once you come to these other modes.
Whether it be 2K nerfing playstyles or heights, or tuning the sliders better, whatever the case us guys just don't want to see this in these new modes.

And there's a lot of sim players who play My Career, I actually made a new guy and glitched an edited roster with sliders I got on here into the game just so I could play even more realistically. Scoring 60 a game gets old after a while and I think even the casuals want more of a challenge sometimes.
I don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.
I want to look in the mirror and say I did it my way.

I agree with you the Rec or Pro-Am should be more sim. The gameplay should feel similar to team up. I just hope this mode is sim style basketball and feels like a real NBA or regulation game not a streetball pick up game. Give us ability to call timeouts make subs even if it's made up players.

To he fair if you've ever watched a pro/am you'll know it's not anywhere near the level of nba in terms of officiating or even competitiveness.

There's so much flash at those things it's ridiculous. Jamal Crawford regularly tears up the Seattle one. He usually drops 40 or 50+ and most of it comes from flashy one on one play due to the exceptional handles he has.

If I had to compare real life proam to a video game mode I would probably compare it to the park.

I hope I'm wrong and you guys are right and they aim towards sim style. But I have serious doubts about that.

Yea I know what you talking about I've seen some pro-am leagues that just puts on a show but I've also seen pro-am leagues were it's more about winning than being flashy. We used to have a good pro-am league here in Flint. It was all about winning and having bragging rights more than trying to be flashy.

Spencer Hawes did the same stuff...but it's only because they're playing around against college level competition basically.

Hopefully they're just calling it a pro am because you build your team with random guys you meet online and travel to different courts and play other teams?
