2K Pro-Am in NBA 2K16?

it will be fye if the 2k pro-am would be a offseason league in my career. a mixture of nba stars on different teams. a 20 game season with playoffs involved. just like in real life when the nba lockout occured.

So I guess its like a mix between crew and rec.
You can roll with your crew or you can go random.
There will be leaderboards for both.

As a crewhead, I do see the potential in it.

I like the leaderboards setup and custom branding stuff. Guess will be able 2 setup uniforms for our teams/crews!!!

Got next has to go, if there are 4 courts and your a walk on myplayer this means other myplayers and teams are present waiting to play. Hope at least wait times are low but 2k has to address this, lobbies/matchmaking should be a must for playing Leaderboard online game modes.

Basically Rec again from what I see. Kind of disappointed. Man, I wish one of these 2Ks we can get that improved crew that was talked about.

Definitely looking to hear more info, but on it's face it looks exactly like Rec again with leaderboards.

Pro Am I'm basically expecting it to be just as arcadey as the rec. not complaining though I wouldn't mind a lobby with Full sim settings

40 players to a gym means they need to do a few things:


Get rid of affiliation (hopefully they did) OR Only allow already formed squads to enter the gym, and kick teams out that are not full OR

Bring lobbies (matchmaking) (unlikely though)

It's 4 courts, 40 players playing simultaneously. Basically exactly how the Rec is right now. 4 courts, 40 players playing simultaneously.

It's the new Rec, with the inclusion of some crew mode additions (notice how the Rec never got mentioned in the MyPark section).

Sadly, it appears Got Next has returned. What does 2k not get that people do not want to wait 30 minutes just to get into a game?? And more often than not when you're on a Got Next spot a squad (now crew) will come over and get 5 players before you.

Then you're jumping from Rec to Rec trying to find a promising one that you don't have to wait too long to just play.

It's just frustrating and infuriating.

I know, which is why I say they should force you to squad up BEFORE you enter the Rec, and if one of your player drops (before the game starts, not during) they should kick the whole squad, or at least not let your team occupy ANY spot

I like this idea. Matchmaking with keeping the social aspect of the Rec.

Up to 40 players on same court sounds like there's no matchmaking. Which means the mode is pretty much worthless. I'm not going to wait on 'got next' spots for a game.

You do have a point, but there's the other side of it:

Will he keep playing if he's getting worked by 100 other Jordans? Will he keep playing offline if it's just too easy and becomes boring?

I say you have as much, if not more, of that risk of boring people, than those that get frustrated with a challenging game. All I know is that chess is not easy and people LOVE it because of that depth and variety.

How about separating your offline and online characters? Have the superstar experience offline, and for crew be forced to make a character that's balanced for 5v5 play vs. other players.

I'm trying to stay optimistic but honestly why should I?...

The ONLY thing it sounds like they're changing is "you can take things a step further as a team with fully customized branding...".
So does that mean we can actually customize jerseys and logos? Does this mean we can have more than 5 on a team so if someone's not on we have other guys who might be?
Can I be a part of more than 1 team?

To me it sounds like it's all just a slightly improved rec. Leaderboards are cool but that's not gonna matter if the gameplay isn't improved. 40 players in an arena playing, so basically framerates being constantly dropped and lagging forever trying to get on a got next spot.

I'll just say: Prove me wrong 2K. Improve on this mode and I'll say I was too skeptical. But if this is just like rec and a total crapshow of taking forever to get a game going only to play teams who cheese all game...boy I hope that other game's bringing the experience we all want.
