Re: MyLeague Online Discussion (Great dev post kickoff)

Mad respect to devs Leftos, Simballer, Czar and others non mentioned here and big thank you for your participation here.

So let's start with suggestions and ideas for better MyLeague Online

Player = Lebron, Durant -> eg avatar in game
User = person (from flesh and blood ) which control a player

1.) Player (e.g. Lebron) progression and his ratings inside MyLeague Online should be determined by user performance in MyLeague and not by his real NBA performance during the season. If the user can't properly utilize Lebron, his ratings should drop. On the other hand good user with proper utilization of player (yes Greg Popovich and Marco Belinelli) should see rating increase for this player.

Of course... player progression should depend on played games not dates... so no rating boosting trough training drills during the season.

    -------------------
After season the system should evaluate and update all players (not users) in MyLeague Online. Some players will progress, some players will regress, all based on their performance in past season. Players which were free-agents/abroad or rookies should see progression/regression based from their real NBA performance (or taken from original roster)

After season ends the user should be awarded with some VC (or progressive points) which can be used to "upgrade" players in his team (=sending a player to summer camps).

    ----------------------

    With this mechanism we can:
    - separate good users vs bad users, because good user can see his team rising during the season
    - we have an incentive for rebuilding teams (like Philadelphia)
    - user skills plays important role for player progression
    - we will have specialized users (some users will prefer to develop youngsters and then make money when trading them, other will try to win as many championships as possible using blockbusting trades, third will try to rebuild his team with draft picks...)

No, not this year. It's just a Free Agents pool that you can sign from for your team to go all the way to a 15-man roster if you have the roster spots. You can always waive your way to 13 and sign up to 15 if you need some backups with key skills to fulfill that one need your team has had since the start of the year.

Again, we hear the clamoring for a proper free agency. We're just as big hoop heads and we want it as much as you. This is just the start for MyLEAGUE Online.

I just played the first playoffs game for the Cavs and the people in the stands were way too maroon for my liking.

        So I would say yes.

So what i assume is that and if so please confirm, the salaries in effect and there will be some kind of contract negotiations between FA and user controlled teams, correct ?

If so will commish/admin have an affect on vetoing or just putting a FA to someones roster etc. ?

May you please elaborate of this FA situation ?

No salaries or salary cap implications this year. Definitely something we want to explore very soon. FA signing approval is also something worth thinking about.

Cool so i will expand my questions on how.

Will it be any user controlled teams to get what they want when they want as long as they have roster space ?

If so do commish can play part in ongoing Leagues Roster what i mean can i manipulate and trade or assign a player to another as i wish ?

Because my intention here is to make sure noone in anyones league gets booted by doing wrong stuff because people can always mess things up..

Woooooo [emoji1] [emoji4] [emoji6] [emoji7] . Our beloved mode is on the march to greatness fellas. It's up to us now to make this thread a fertile ground of ideas that will help take it to the next level.

Let's go! Playoff atmosphere, playbooks, roster management, coaching options, admin tools. Stop selling the team short! This is not just a foundation leftos; this sounds like a complete tear down of the waste of space that was 2k15 broken OL platforms. Thanks for the reply. You have no idea how satisfying it will be to compete in the postseason against fellow league members with playoff atmosphere once again!

The admin doesn't have full control of other people's rosters, but this is something we can consider as an admin option for the future.

I wish there was a way to play myleague online, but allow for the rosters to stay updated with the current 2k roster. I like myleague online, but i would love for the players ratings to improve or decrease, based off of their real life performance. So if Anthony Davis starts shooting threes this year it can be added to myleague online. Right now i would have to start all over with a new roster. Wish there was a way i could keep the stats and records of the league but get the updated ratings of real life.

If an online my league is started with just six players and later on 2 more gamers want to join during the season can the admin of the league invite those two extra players who want to become users into the league and take over CPU teams or are we restricted to just the six players who started the league to begin with.

There will let be cpu teams there are no restrictions on that, but the big question is can any user join the league with an invitation at any time during the season if admin approves

Player progression is a big deal for me I also want to know if me and my friends start an online league and before the league is started will it asks you to import a draft class or edit one if so can we add created players into the upcoming draft so we can play with them at hoop summit even though it seems as if hoop summit is not in my league and only on my GM...

THIS. One of the main reasons why leagues restart is lack of an updated roster while in the thick of the campaign. I understand the arbitrary nature of increasing and decreasing ratings independent of how the user is actually performing with them, but most OA members are fans of the league first and gamers second.

Seeing a Hasan Whiteside burst onto the scene or a greatly diminished Kobe reflected in an ongoing OA season would be embraced as a neccessity to a simulation based online league. An option to maybe import roster updates via the custom roster feature at any point in an ongoing season would give admins and private leagues the ability to decide to use the feature or not. The custom roster feature is already there; seeing it expanded to include on-demand imports into an existing season would be revolutionary.
