thanks VDusen04 for the vidz. a few thoughts.

the jerseys - i dont think 2k can swap from tight to flappy physics. the way the jerseys move, the code written to tight vs flappy i guess its very different. so much so i wan the flappy jerseys i dont think it can happen.

triangle play - i saw MJ at the wing passed to Longley at the low block, and Pippen at the corner 3 went up to attempt screen MJ for backdoor cut. well, this is the current knicks triangle version. The bulls would most of the time have MJ (and Pippen) to cut to the other side and make a screen for the weak side players, leaving Longley isolated. it didnt happen.

hair - i'm not very impressed with kerr ...

MJ - not much of the offensive display to comment.

Warriors - I saw Curry, Thompson making contested layups while Toni missed those badly. does 2k really have to make them so good and the Bulls that inferior? even Draymond can hook over Rodman effortlessly.

    thats for all.

hey i thought this thread is reserved for MJ fans, and perhaps 2k to see the kind of flaws we are reporting. i expect more to come after the launch.

post the impression on Bird, Lebron, Kareem, AI on the classic thread can? i mean, they are good comments too. Bird or Rod Steward in the game? haha

Any sign of an improved Russell?

I'm sure they'll be changed in the first roster update. Lamarcus aldridge has the same problem

Hopefully he looks just as good as Kareem's player model. Russell was begging for an upgrade. He doesn't even remotely resemble Bill Russell whatsoever. Really looking forward to seeing what the 2003 and 2005 Steve Nash looks like. Like both the 7 seconds or less Phoenix Suns and that Mavericks team with younger Dirk, Nash and Finley. Also hoping that they upgraded the 98 Lakers player models as well. 98 Kobe needs it as does Shaq. Also excited Nick the Quick Van Exel has been added to that 98 team.

For a fairly pain looking guy why is his hair so hard to get right haha.

Everything else looking great though can't wait to run some triangle!

Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?

This thread may have started out as primarily Jordan focused...but the deeper question evolved into what improvements were going to be made for classic players in general. It APPEARS that 2K is moving in the right direction and at least making an effort to improve the likenesses of the classic players.

Now....and this is just me and my 2 cents...but complaining about jersey shorts physics to the point at which it would affect your interest in playing is a little over the top. With the exception of replays, how obvious is jersey short physics in actual gameplay? And even if it IS obvious, how can it be that high on a priority list? Maybe it's because I am an older than average gamer, but I never even noticed jersey physics until this thread. This isn't to challenge anyone, just trying to understand....

The funny part is the coach Steve Kerr looks better then the player Steve Kerr. How does that happen?

Because they don't have a time machine they can scan player Steve Kerr with?

Could've used the coach model for the player, but then people would bitch he looks old

I would just prefer play with that model with blonder hair and minor face adjusts to make him look younger. Maybe some Botox injections lol.

2K is held to a standard of NBA realism so high that it warrant every player, every team and every era to be exactly how people imagined it to be or have seen in real life. When you get that wrong then people revolt. Plain and simple

                            I'm an 'old head' too.

And the way the jerseys look and react is incredibly important for immersion. The last two years the legends teams have had skin tight, almost painted on looking jerseys with hardly any simulation of movement - they've looked terrible and it detracts from the overall feel of the game.

Though there seems to be some upgrades and improvements from 2k, which I thank them heartily for, it would appear the jerseys remain the same, aside from some number/logo placement changes - they still seem to be super tight. The last time the legends uniforms were accurately displayed was in 2k13 last gen, they had them SPOT ON.

Jerseys issues have been so bad, I've traded all the classic players to current teams just to give their uniforms some physics, even though they're now in oversized shorts, but hey, you can't have it all, right?

                            2k13 classic team jerseys:

I'm only holding 2K to the standard THEY achieved with 2K11 in regards to the retro/classic players/teams/coaches. The 2K11 retro jerseys for the most part were correct in regards to looks/physics other than nba logos in the wrong places for a few. Good shoe customization was the only big mission piece from 2K11 and now that we have that in 2K16 there isn't a good reason why all the great retro stuff that's there in 2K11 is not in 2K16. There is not a good reason we get generic coaches for the retro teams today when in 2K11 Phil Jackson was the coach for all the championship Bulls and Lakers teams. Even worse they have a generic coach for the 98 Spurs team when Popovich is still the coach of the Spurs in 2015! People have already talked to death about the Jordan signature moves that were in 2K11/12 that are not in 2K14/15. Like is said before, this is the standard 2K has already achieved. Its not unreasonable to hope/ask for these things when they have done them already in the past with great success

That is a sign that Jordan contract was just 3 years! Now we are sure of that!!
But i still don't understand why they made me dreaming in July with the 3 peat on the poster.
