Here's a comparison just to get an idea.

I think it could be better, but I don't mind it. Again, after seeing what 2K15 brought to the table in terms of a classic player's entire appearance (head, hair, face, jersey), I thought Vince Carter was looking pretty legit during gameplay. But, as someone who can be a stickler for details, I can totally see where improvement could be needed.

Looking at his 2K16 likeness again, I almost see a touch of Tiki Barber there.

This doesn't 2k16 doesn't look like the best they can do.
He basically looks the same now IRL so this should have been one of the easier ones to transfer.

I would say it's nice to meet you but it's not so I don't pretend it is when I greet you.

Legendary teams need a lot of work on the way the players look, even the uniforms are weird shorts are shorter than they really were late 90's.

They at least could have gave THE GREATEST DUNKER OF ALL TIME his own personalized dunk package to make up for it... All I see are generic athletic dunks.

Things like that, not having JORDAN'S shoes right.

Such confusing company. Maybe they leave stuff unfinished so they have things to do for next year

Funny how differently people perceive things.

He looks closer to 112 from my end.

                Wholeheartedly agree with this.

Thinking about it, I bet there's a pretty good chance the decision to include the 2000 Raptors (and prime Vince Carter) came after motion capture process was completed. I mean, maybe not, but I could see there being a complication in terms of timing, importance, and execution and whatnot.

That said, it's worth stating now that Carter absolutely, positively needs his own dunk package.

                Some necessities:

Full-extension, full revolution, no arm-break windmill:

                Spoiler

                Clockwise, super clean one-handed 360:

                Spoiler

Clockwise, two-handed 360 (at the 2:22 mark, though I've seen a variation of this one in 2K already):

                Spoiler

                Reverse alley-oop off one-foot:

                Spoiler

                One-hand mega punch alley-oop:

                Spoiler

                Classic one-handed tomahawk with authority:

                Spoiler

I'd even be cool with his in-game elbow dunk making the cut, even if a hang was added:

                Spoiler

Separately, I feel Tracy McGrady should have the off-the-backboard as a part of his dunk package (maybe Vince too, just for that All-Star finish).

Lastly, I haven't actually thought this one through, but do you guys think anyone would ever object if, under just the right circumstances & very rare, Vince Carter could Frederic Weis someone, aka clear them entirely? Obviously if there was a surefire way to trigger it at will, it'd lose all novelty and be abused. But if they found a way to sneak it in there, almost like an Easter Egg, I feel as though it could be one of the coolest things I've ever seen on a video game.

In the edit player view he looks over 100, in the actual gameplay he looks 12.

Either way it looks weird and creepy up close

It would have to be with against a player that prefers to take charges vs. block a shot.

                    Vlade Divac, you're up.

A little late but I'm just now playing the game. This is by far the best any 2k game has ever "felt".

When players are moving you actually get the sense that the faster players are indeed faster. Rebounding is much more controllable, you can actually chase a rebound rather that players just jumping in random directions. The best part, this is the first 2k I can remember where a passer feels just as valuable as a shooter. Actually being able to pick apart a defense with good point guards and LeBron is feeling that I've never gotten from a video game before this.

Despite some glaring visual flaws with the legends, that we knew were going to be present, this game is incredible.

The game I had with the 1989 Bulls vs the Bad boys last night was amazing. Loved every second of it.

Oh, to answer a few questions - nope, Spree doesn't have any kind of signature dunks, but there are several in the package line ups that could be used for him.

It's always baffled me that out of all the incredible dunkers the NBA has witnessed, only MJ and Drexler have a dunk package. You'd think of all people they'd have Air Canada, Dr J, and The Human Highlight film. Others like Shawn Kemp, Harold Minor, J Rich etc - the mind boggles as to why there isn't more signature dunk packs.

                        --------------------------------------------

One MAJOR thing that is irking me again this year - ZERO authentic arena sounds. Chicago Stadium is DEAD without the classic organ. Detroit is barren without is signature up/down court arena sounds. They had this DEAD ON in 2k12, it's just another part of the game they removed which has me scratching my head.....

                          Athletic beast!!

                          Looks pretty decent too.

This this this. They HAD these even in 2k9 when Vince couldn't do half of those in game anymore. I remember doing the elbow dunk all the time and his signature 360s all the time. Tmac off the glass only makes sense, DO THESE GUYS EVEN WATCH HIGHLIGHTS? It truly is a mystery where these guys get there footage/pictures from. It's not off memory cuz they have to base it off something right?

I know they've tried to clean up any unrealistic feats, but Vince used to do these in game, and dunk highlights are a HUGE reason why we even all started getting into basketball games in the first place.

These are the whole points of playing with these guys, not so we can play along side Doug Christie and Antonio Davis again.. But so we can play like it was 2000 again but with current graphics and gameplay. We want to feel like we are using a game developed them, not like a create a player + roster edit we've gotten off 2kshare every year anyway.

It really feels like it does when a director pumps out a sequel they weren't really keen on doing. Like 'everyone wants a sequel, everyone is requesting a sequel, alright fine I'll sit down and pump out a sequel quick'. And it's only half satisfying and quickly thrown together.

Which touches on your other point.. WHY do they remove good aspects to the game? To make more memory for my career or something?

As requested a few pages ago, my personal Jordan edit for 1998....

Needs a bit more tweaking, I still think some of the 'athletic' dunks should be removed.
