I don't really know the technical possibilities behind this type of stuff. Perhaps it's a specific shade of hair that makes it happen, combined with a small bit of volume. Brian Grant is another example:

I think the hairstyles Fox, Iverson, Grant and others have just have too much detail when you're right in front of them (Edit player or highlight). In game the distance between camera and player seems to be too far away, not every detail can be shown and resolution changes which results in some washed up hairstyle (turning grey).

Think it's the same with some blonde hairstyles. In the edit menu it looks quite ok, but on the court it's strange

Wonder if there is a camera setting where it turns out to be correct while playing.

Appreciate it, man. Your stream was probably my favorite playthrough so far. Maybe it's because I haven't owned a next gen 2K yet but a lot of the mannerisms and animations looked wonderful. Aside from that one weird Rodman rebound situation, the rebounds look really great in terms of animation, ditto for some of the transition initiations.

In terms of appearance, I was impressed with both teams outside of Steve Kerr. Even Fred Hoiberg looked more acceptable even though they have similar visual traits.

A couple of the weird & small possible improvements:

-The ball/net interaction is a little funny. There's almost no resistance when the ball hits all net, almost as if someone were dropping a medicine ball into the hoop from above.
-Seems to be a little too many "lucky bounce" makes. I imagine it's tough to strike the right chord in this regard, but on a fair bit of those Jordan fallaways, I knew they were going to go in, but it seemed they had to hit the rim four times before doing so. I feel like I heard too many swishes was a problem before so I get it.
-Still wish layups were released and finished closer to the rim. A lot of them end up looking like mini-weak floaters.

But since this is a thread generally about classic players and their appearances and tendencies, I'll end by saying I was surprised how little the computer looked for Kevin Garnett in their offensive set. I'm actually not really sure if they ever did. He scored a few times off of the fast break and an offensive rebound, but even Fred Hoiberg was getting more touches it seemed.

I was thinking the same about Garnett - it's odd, he hardly had any touches that game, yet playing against other teams like Miami - they had the ball in Shaq and Wades hands A LOT. I think things change game by game, 2k did mention something about other players stepping up when the mains weren't having a good game, perhaps that was the case with KG and the Wolves?

Totally agree with the shots rattling around the rim, it's almost like that's a tack on simply because folk complained of too many swishes last year.

Overall, I'm stoked over this game, it's incredible, but there's still tiny things that are sure to make me grit my teeth - like being able to choose if you chew gum or not, yet not having the ability to change sock color

Gotta apologise for the extremely poor play again last night, must have looked so shabby! I'll be streaming with the Bulls a little later today, here's hoping I get some more stuff figured out and a bit more smoother gameplay for you guys.

Hard to tell if they're white socks or ankle braces. Either that or he's got the pc version. Mods like that shouldn't be too hard I presume?

So its safe to say now....the question to this thread has been answered... Yes MJ looks like MJ this year... Lol... Just fix his jordan color ways so they are correct online, change the black socks to white (except on the 96 tram..that's OK) and shorten his over long leg sleeve and we are great!

Last night before I used the 98 Bulls I went to edit Jordan. When I used Red Bulls jerseys at Home vs Lakers, Bulls socks were all white. So I figured I read these forums wrong. Went back to edit some more players, played 98 bulls vs 98 bulls to check my accessories, and they now both had black socks. I honestly dont mind black socks, Im just not sure how they ended up white the first time.

Might have been before I installed the update

Dave, Will you be using other Bulls teams? I may be in minority, but I 98 MJ was my least favorite Jordan. Can you play with an early 90's MJ, or even better, late 80's MJ?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks Rip's mask is too bright (meaning, it needs to be more transparent).

(I'm pretty sure he had the same issue in NBA '09 The Inside...)
