Wonder why they didn't just to get another team?

The Nets are a good example.

They've already got JKidd in the game (I assume this since he is coaching)

Jefferson is on the Cavs

Mutumbo already on the Sixers and Nugs

KMart retired a few months ago, but they already have his model built

seems like it wouldn't be hard at all to fill in the rest of the relevant players on that roster....it would be Kittles, Harris, Jason Collins (they already have his model built) and a couple of other guys

Being this upfront about it does nothing, believe me. There will always be complainers, there will always be people who act entitled about their games, claiming that if the game is not exactly to their own personal specifications, then they will boycott, etc.

I wouldn't say it does nothing, just maybe not for the people complaining, but the people who understand don't complain, so you're not seeing that, you're only seeing the negative.

Because it's his business not to be in the game. I respect that. I dint respect 2K misleading it's customer base by announcing a classic team that wasn't even close to what was implied.

here's my point of view. If you can't have everyone on the classic team (at least all the big names) then don't do it at all. It's almost a slap in the face that way. better to not have them and take that time to focus on making the other teams better. take the time to do graphical upgrades, or make more features. either do it big, or don't do it.

I have a solution: Why don't 2k just take away all the classic teams and just dump the players in a free agent pile. Bring back create a team and put all the classic logos, stadiums, uniform on the disc so we can create out own classic team. What this does is take away the disappointment when they add a team but someone like Shawn Bradley isn't on there. Also it wouldn't be any generic players on the classic teams which you can then delete out the game for more CAP space. Imagine the excitement of them announcing players instead of teams? That way you know exactly what you're getting and not get disappointed if they add a team like the 03 mavericks and Shawn Bradley isn't in the game (please tell me he's in this year)

Nobody cares about the 7th or 8th man being left off. 95% of the classic teams are totally playable as they were in the past. I think that's all anyone wants out of it.

Well that too but I think if they announce players then you wouldn't get backlash like this just as long as we have a deep create a team feature and 2k share is back.... or you could just be honest like the other guy said.

Because 98% of those people don't care that much about having that team in the first place. So who is the team being marketed to? People who do care about Rasheed.

That said, 2K probably thought they could get him in at some point. It's better than nothing even though it's kind of lame team with that omission.

There's a huge thread last year asking 2k to if anything, to just give us some classic teams based off people who are already in the game....

They looked out and brought us something...it's an imperfect system where **** happens. I mean, if it weren't for a leaked screen we wouldn't know KAJ was back...we didn't know Dr J was back until he just popped up one day...neither had any fan fare because things can happen at any time with these players...good and bad

It goes along with the process...

I'm not asking the 2k forum in September have any perspective on anything, but it may be something to keep in mind from this year on...

well it's just my point of view on classic teams, just one persons view and evidently not shared by everyone. Not saying it's right. And you're right, options are great for some people . But having a well known team with out well know players just ruins the immersion for me. like it's in the back of my mind. but again, it's just my point of view so that can be taking with a grain of salt.

On the whole I am very happy with 2k. not much to complain about, but this is just one of those things I believe could be improved upon. but now that I think about it, I guess it doesn't matter. even if all the current teams are correct people would just complain no more were added.

again, just my point of view for this specif instance.

Yeah, I guess it's a no win situation either way, so more teams are better I guess. well got my rockets and I don't like detroit, guess I was just here more for the discussion
