Are you oblivious to how things work in this day and age? You're completely underselling the reach of Twitter. It's 2015, not 2005. Believe it or not, Twitter is probably the single best form of advertisement. It's the fastest and easiest way to get something out to the masses, and I'd wager that a VERY large portion of 2K's intended audience are active Twitter users. So yes, advertising something via Twitter IS legit advertising, especially coming from RONNIE FREAKING 2K.



With that said, of that very same intended audience, I'd wager that a pretty small percentage actually care about Classic Teams, and the fact that Sheed isn't in the game. It IS kind of fould that they put 2 teams in the game, and conveniently leave out that they are missing the same exact player, one of which he was probably their best player, and the other an extremely important piece of their title team.

The majority of the target audience of this game not giving a damn about these classic teams, or the fact that Rasheed Wallace isn't in it, was exactly my point.

Twitter or not, they're not selling this game to people based on these classic teams, nor one former player.

Yea that makes sense. And on what these guys get Charles said he got 50K a couple of years ago when he was on the dream team. So I expect these guys to get something around 25-30K on average.

That's probably for guys closer to role players. I know for a fact I read Jordan only does his likeness at minimum for over a mill. Also notice that ever since Jordan has been in he's plastered everywhere. That isn't just because it looks cool, that is apart of the likeness agreement. These things aren't as cut and dry as the fans think. It's a lot of politics regarding this stuff.

How does having Bulls Jordan on the cover have anything to do with the addition of classic teams that aren't even from the same decade as when Jordan was on the Bulls? If they wanted to promote the new classic teams with a cover wouldn't they use someone that is actually on the roster of one of these new teams?

Never once did 2k grantee that every player on the classic rosters will be in the game. In fact anyone who played 2k11-2k15 and used classic teams should have been full aware that not every player makes it in the game. Look at Kareem he was in 2k11 and 2k12 then all the sudden he was removed from the game (I believe 13 was the first year he was removed).

Yea I was figuring for the top guys like 100-150. And you also have the scrub that played towards the end of the season because guys were resting who is making 10 tops. So it all evens itself out. And like I said in my OP Chuck only got 50. So MJ is an extreme outlier in all of this, I would presume.

Cap probably had a 2 year deal for his likeness. C-Webb had a 1 year deal.

MJ is an outlier but he's also the guy to use as a max as far as this stuff goes. For all we know these guys may want more than just themselves on a team and want some stuff like MJ has in game. Chuck getting 50K for just the Dream Team is crazy if you think about it. Imagine what he'd probably want to be on the Suns and Sixers not to mention 50K wasn't even enough until Jay-Z called. Then there are just guys who don't want to be in just like there are current guys who just don't want to be scanned.

Yep, that'd be great!!! I'd miss Sheeds grey spot on his head, but I'll get over it.

Let's not get it twisted or put words in my mouth, Ben Wallace is one of my favorite players of all time and to have the coverboy for one of the most memorable ball games ever back in the game is all I needed to here.

All I'm saying is it kills the experience to have a created version of Sheed on a team, when everyone is starting to look 99.9% as close to real life then have a dude who sticks out as obviously not?..just sucks.

So are you saying you'd rather have no Pistons team, instead of one with a created Rasheed on it? Because those are your two options right now.

To me, it would be great if 2k would for once let us know what goes on behind these decisions. Also, why not announce the full rosters along with the teams, like Kareem back, Nick van Exel finally in etc. It's like they throw them in there and I think many people would love the hype about Kareem back! Also, why choose a team when you cannot get all big players. The only solution is to finally ALLOW us to EDIT THOSE GENERIC PLAYERS!!!! Or create a player and add them, but no...just frustrating we cannot get full teams.
