Remember we're supposed to have the inside/outside/balanced scoring styles.. That's likely going to heavily influence the caps even for the attribute block system..

For example:

Inside - Shot close 95, shot medium 65, shot 3pt 50
Outside - Shot close 50, shot medium 75, shot 3pt 95
Balanced - shot close 80, shot medium 80, shot 3pt 80.

Numbers completely made up but you get the idea.

The caps aren't what Im concerned with.

I just want to make a defensive focused player without them being DeAndre Jordan at the line. I don't ever want to shoot a 3 pointer with my C why do I need to be able to shoot a pull up 3 with him in order to knock down some free throws?

All the other stats could stay the same but I just want FTs separate

Is this really a problem for people? As a center in 2K15 I only put my shoot up by 4 or 5 upgrades and I never struggled from the line.

Well what about mid range? If I want to be a knock down mid range shooter, and want to play from 17 feet and in, I also have to have a good 3pt shot... 2k just stop letting people be lazy and upgrading everything at once.

How many true centers do you know that are 80% free throw shooters that don't have at least some range to their game? There definitely aren't many.

True, but look at players like KG and Duncan, who shoot a lot of mid range shots yet rarely (a couple times a season) shoot a 3pt shot.

Got it, the point is though there are a lot of Centers that have a good mid range but never shoot 3s.

Wait till people find something they want hidden behind VC.

If you think that lil' feature was going away, I doubt anything has changed to stop it.

Game ain't and will never be perfect. Demand it enough, and they'll listen....but something else will probably need to be altered and that will tick you off instead.

Nitpick if you want the point is a PF or C cannot have a solid mid range game without have other skills they dont want.

1: why the 80% free throw threshold? That skews the data. Plenty of NBA Centers are passable at Free throws (shoot 65-75%) and can't hit a 3 pointer to save their life. If I want to improve my Center to being okay at free throws, I shouldn't have to also improve them to being okay at three pointers.

2: btw if you want an actual example, Yao Ming was a career 80+% free throw shooter but shot 20 percent from beyond the arc (not good)

so yeah, it is unrealistic that we have to have someone become good at free throws and three point shots at the same time. Let alone MOVING three point shots OFF THE DRIBBLE.

Also take into consideration, Free Throws in 2K are usually easy. So even if you have a low rating, you should be fine with making them

Maybe offline, I know in the rec I shot like 85% with a maxed shooting... I watched a guy that had 0 on shooting go like 2/10 with all shots hitting the line so he said.
