I'd really love to see this get fixed, it annoys me a lot each year.

However if its not fixed it won't really impact if I buy the game or how much I play, after a couple years of this I am just used to it now

I played on 12 min quarters PS4.

Broken, not active, doesn't show up, missing in action, however you want to put it, it's not there for 3 consecutive years.

EDIT: 2k most likely knew about this, which is probably why LD2k decided to go 6 minute quarters during their live stream. Just disappointed. Bought the PS4 for MLB the Show, I guess NBA2k end of game highlights is something I had to forgo.

To be fair they have never played more than 5 or 6 minute qtrs in those livestream each yr. Obviously they do know its a issues, now ay they cant know with it being a problem for years now. Whether its 2k fault or sony's I dont know, but you can bet the devs know about the issue.

Ok, I installed the update (version 1.02) and now individual highlights work.

So glad that it seems they got this fixed on PS4 this year. Can't wait to pick up the game tomorrow. I always play 12 min quarters and it has been horrible not getting proper end of game highlights since the game has been on PS4.

So they are working fine? I usually play 11 min matches and trying to decided if I should get this on PS4 or wait until I get an X1 later this year and buy it on that.

I've played 3 consecutive play now broadcast camera games without having to exit NBA2k17. PS4 NBA2k17 digital download. All 3 consecutive games played shows halftime highlights, post game player of the game highlights and the "box score" individual player highlights work. There are no post game team highlights, just player of the game highlights (maybe that's always been the case... but don't know). Length of individual highlights shown seems to be dependent on the player's second half offensive performance. Likely if you bench the player for the entire second half; it's likely he won't have any individual player highlights. Will be doing further testing this weekend minus the time devoted to watching football. Still won't know what will happen after the 3rd consecutive game. Last year after 2 game even halftime highlights were gone. Weekend marathon session to see what happens in play now and franchise mode.

PS4 NBA2k17

This is still preliminary observation. I will try to run 10 to 15 full consecutive 12 minute quarter games and see how the highlights are packaged for the first and second half including the individual player highlights under the box score selection screen. I will also try to upload them onto youtube to give more visual evidence of what type of highlights are present.

The reason for 10-15 games is because the halftime highlights for NBA2k16 PS4 completely stopped working after playing 2 consecutive games I believe.



I am currently in the testing phase. This is strictly what I will be testing this weekend on play now games including franchise mode because this is my most wanted feature that I want working. I was going to completely skip 2k17 but operationsports user Nevertheless confirmed it work so I preordered.

Yesterday night, I played three consecutive PS4 NBA2k17 12 minute quarter "play now" games without having to exit NBA2k17. I played back to back to back games. Halftime highlights work (shows both team highlights for both first and second quarter). Postgame player of the game highlights work. It only shows the player of the game. Didn't realize it doesn't show the team highlights.

This morning went back and ran a full 12 minute quarter game with NBA2k16 PS4 because I was concerned about 2k17 only showing the player of the game individual highlights for the post game show. I obviously had to do the workaround for PS4 2k16 (save and exit during the start of the 3rd quarter, don't need to completely exit out of 2k16 ( (I repeat, you do not need to exit out of 2k16) ), then load the MyGM file back. Apparently the post game show also only focuses on the player of the game individual highlights.

Individual highlights for each player (Box Score section). These also worked for the 3 consecutive games. Some of the highlights are extremely short (1 or 2 clips only, etc), others are more expansive. I believe these individual highlights only revolve around what the players did in the second half. If the player was more active scoring, more individual player highlights will be apparent in the box score section highlights. I don't believe these individual highlights include anything from the first half, but I will be doing further testing to see (i.e. only shooting 2's in the first half and only 3's in the second half).

There was a request last year for a 12 minute or greater than 8 minute quarter live stream.

I agree, honestly I probably would have waited until next year to pick this up if this hadn't been fixed. It is a feature I really enjoy after my games are completed and being able to look at all they key plays in games is just great. Also thanks to strawberryshortcake and the others who confirmed this.

Anyone with both consoles care to compare the POTG highlights?

They seem very short and very close up, at least compared to the halftime highlights. I'm wondering if they had to make some sacrifices to get them working. As long as I've waited for these, I'm not happy with them.

Can´t compare it to this years PS4, but to 2K16 on Xbox One.
And I have to agree, they seem very short and sometimes the screen is getting black during the individual highlights.
Last year they worked perfectly on Xbox.

PS4 12 minute quarters, 6-7 consecutive play now offline games.

I blame football season for allowing me to only play I believe 6 or 7 straight offline "Play Now" games on Hall of Fame 12 minute quarters default broadcast. Have not gotten into franchise mode specifically just yet unfortunately (but will be testing that). Halftime highlights works. The good thing about the halftime highlights is the lighting is now the same as playing the game. 2k16's halftime used a different lighting, seemingly a brighter filter versus playing the game. Post game player of the game highlights work. There aren't any "team" highlights for the post game show. Not sure if that's how it is with the XBOX. Player of the game highlights are mostly up close and personal.

Individual box score game highlights works ... to a certain extent. They work in the sense that the majority have individual highlights, some are shorter than others. Meaning it could simply be one clip on repeat. While other gets a lot more highlights. Don't know if it's an anomaly but sometimes pressing the triangle button multiple times just to refresh the individual highlights brings up a different camera for what could be the same highlights (don't quote me on this, requires further testing). Some might, unfortunately not get a full clip and very infrequently just completely get a black screen after a millisecond trying to load a clip. It doesn't seem to be strictly predicated on the player's second half offense output as I once thought, but I will be doing further testing.

Important note: Do not attempt to replay the player of the game (POTG) highlights or else you won't get to see your other teammates box score game highlights; it'll just be flooded with POTG highlights. If Curry was player of the game, and you wanted to replay his POTG highlights, when you attempt to view Klay's, Draymond's, Durant's individual highlights package, you'll be presented with Curry's highlight package. If you must rewatch the POTG highlights, I suggest doing so only after you've gone through your other teammates box score highlights.

That was 200% my intention. Had these highlights not worked on 12 minute quarters, I would have been waiting on 2k18. And I was not going to grab an XBOX with 2k17 because it would have been a waste of money considering the Scorpio was getting its red carpet treatment next year. I was also serious about skipping 2k19 if it doesn't get fixed. User Nevertheless confirmed them to work at least for one game, so I jumped on the preorder wagon.

Black screen unfortunately does happen. Don't know why that's the case but will be doing further testing this week/weekend/coming weeks.

Would also appreciate an xbox'er chiming in on the POTG. I'm at least happy they're in. I'll take notes of the POTG length for my next testing session.
