This is a very specific question but it's really important to me, almost a deal breaker, so please anyone answer!
How is the offseason in MyLeague actually improved?
Is the dreaded 13 day FA signing period still there?
Can you make trades at any point during the offseason?

I think you can make trades after FA starting right before training camps

As far as the off-season improving it's got it's hit an misses. The coaching search is a lot better imo, Draft logic is still a negative(example Jazz still take big men, Pistons take PG at the top of the draft, Celtics PG) Teams still trade away extremely important players for picks. Brook Lopez/Drummond/Favors are the 3 most common I've seen. FA is a crap shoot, I've had some seasons where it's looked great, no teams signing multiple players of the same position to expensive long term deals, smart signings etc then I'll get another season where Lebron, Kobe, Duncan, Dwight will all leave their teams for non-contending teams. One problem that I see continually is RFA are hardly ever matched and way too many young players actually hit FA. I see Marcus Smart/Alex Len/Ben Mclemore/John Henson/ all the time get scooped up by other teams. Lastly players go for way too cheap.

It's much better than last year though even with all that said

Sheesh, still 13 days free agency and no trades during it.. Damn what a letdown for a game that prides itself for extreme realism!

Honestly, as I'm sure you've noticed, it's been something mostly ignored in franchise development the past few years (I didn't see a ton of people talking about it, so I wrongly assumed nobody really cared about it). What you point out makes perfect sense and we'll discuss improving this stuff in 2K17 now that I know people actually use this feature.

By the way, we've been discussing this and there's a chance we may be able to get some of the easier improvements -- like having the freestyle stuff available -- in Patch 3.

Did Patch 1 & 2 Come out? If so, How do I tell? Where can you look on Xbox 1 ?

I've noticed that free agent contracts seem too low.

I don't recall seeing how to trade during or after free agency. Only before or next season unless I missed something. I have only had time to sim one season.

Contracts are probably tied into overall again. So that's why you are getting the low contract numbers.

Davez what about protecting picks? Are they in? And if no, is that something we could added to the blue sky list? Because unprotected are RARELY traded in real life. The only time since protecting picks became a thing, I can think of a trade with unprotected picks is the Celtics highway robbery of Brooklyn.

MyLeague Issue (PS4):

When i'd control all 30 teams and have the Trades on automatic and like to approve ALL trades i should be able to negotiate the trades because i control, so the game says, all 30 teams. I think this is very useful to have an overview of the rosters with/without the trades.

Well, it works, but unfortunately only in less than 20% of cases, which makes the mode almost unplayable!

I sincerely hope this will get a fix in the next patch!

All the same jumpshots for generated rookies is bad
It will probably be fixed in the first patch, but will I have to start over my franchise in order to make it work or will it fix it automatically ?!?

The online portion feature-wise is light years ahead of the previous two years models. Many more features and admin options. Feels great.

Just seen DeMarcus Cousins traded to NOP for Eric Gordon lol. AD and DMC are going to be unstoppable but I can't wait to see them when they trade for John Wall.

I love all the new additions and improvements to MyLeague. I did notice that we can't convince Coaches to delay retirement, which is too bad since its a feature that is available for players. I think in past years I used to extend coaches contracts before the season is over in order to try and prevent them from retiring once their contract is up. (Could be a placebo effect and just random occurrences). But I did notice we don't have the ability to extend a current coaches contract, is it possible for this to be added in a patch at all?
