Re: NBA 2K16 Available Today, Post Your Impressions Here
I played so many games and I rarely see blocked dunks. What I see is a lot of missed dunks on the user end but the CPU gets them in cleanly. I just hate how the CPU doesn't suffer the same issues like the users.Comment

For once I would just like to see the game played with a close to realistic percentage of inside shots, mid range and 3's without having to mess with sliders to no end. With CPU tendencies on all 50s there are not nearly enough threes taken. I turned up threes, hasn't helped. CPU offense just constantly tries to spam the paint over and over almost no matter who u play (except teams like golden state who they obviously took more time to model their correct offense). As a result of the paint spamming, points in the paint are consistently too high. This has been an issue in previous 2ks as well and hasn't really been fully addressed

way too many blocks PERIOD. On both ends... whether it's me against someone online, or CPU. Both myself and the opponent get way too many blocks that are unrealistic..
defense is still over powering. I don't understand how Mo Williams could lock down Westbrook...Comment

Yeah CPU doesnt take enough 3s. Most games they take 10-15.Comment

I hate to sound like some "fan boy" or 2k vet. But maybe you should learn the dribbles moves and play a different style of offense. Then you have in other games.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: NBA 2K16 Available Today, Post Your Impressions Here
These are my main concerns with the game so far:
- PLEASE LET MY PLAYERS GET BACK ON DEFENSE. I cannot stress this enough. Just had a game where me and my opponent got 5 straight layups/dunks off of our players not getting back on defense. I score a basket, he throws it in to his point guard, who then launches a full court pass down the court and lays it in due to NONE of my players getting back on defense. We then proceed to go back and forth 4 straight times. So stupid, and yes I have tried sprinting back manually. A lot of this has to do with the dumb celebrations they make all of my players do. It's the first quarter, and Tony Parker makes a simple layup. I should not be seeing Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard throw their arms up pumping the crowd for 10 seconds before they finally get back in a defensive position. Every player should not be doing ridiculous celebrations after something as small as a layup in the middle of the 3rd quarter.
- Comeback momentum is still in the game. Threads have been made in the past regarding this so I won't go into further detail.
- I know I'm playing on Hall of Fame, but can I please make two jump shots in a row? This goes for Park as well.
- The strip steals when going for layups and dunks are out of control. If I am 2 steps ahead of Isaiah Thomas for example, with Kevin Durant on a fastbreak, I should not be getting stripped CLEAN when KD is going for a dunk. It happens way too often.
- Blocks are out of control a little bit. This isn't a huge issue to me, but sometimes the blocks that some players do are just unreal. Some of the blocks are equivalent to the ones that some NBA players do (Durant, Mason Plumlee) at the kids camp when they block the little kid's shot. That's how hard the blocks are a lot of times on this game. Again not a huge issue to me, but it's something that I just see a lot.Last edited by IUxHOOSIERS; 10-16-2015, 03:48 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Available Today, Post Your Impressions Here
The only new control change that I'm not a fan of is the 2K Smart Play option. Last year was perfect, imo, where you held down LB/L1. Having to use the D-pad means I've got to take my hand off the stick for a second so I can call a play. Obviously not the end of the world and the game does initiate more freelance sets without you having to press a button, so I guess that's the trade-off.
I need to check, but are there touchpad controls like in 2K15? I really liked being able to call, for example, an isolation by swiping to the right. Can we do the same thing in 2K16?
I went back and played 2K15 yesterday. You really get an appreciation for how far 2K16 has come when you play that game ... which is crazy because 2K15 was the game that convinced me to pick up a PS4 and I played it almost non-stop since the beginning of the year.Currently Playing:

I definitely seen CPU missed dunks. It's a thing of beauty. It seems like huge dunks give teams a little momentum.PSN: Dreamchaser_865

Anybody playing on Hall of Fame, you're pretty much throwing "fairness" and "sim" out the window and the sooner people realize this, the better off they'll be.
My pet peeve with this is that when I set my POE before the game start but yet it resets everything back to auto once the game actually starts up.
What's the point of setting it up only for it to reset anyway?#RespectTheCultureComment

This dude Isaiah Thomas...is there anything he can't do on Offense when controlled by the CPU? Lol#RespectTheCultureComment

If I'm Westbrook, and a scrub defender is guarding me, I should be able to blow past him without having to set him up with dribble moves. Too bad the defender always bumps you and sucks you in.Comment

Played a lot of my career tonight, and let's just say, please don't bring back Spike Lee story mode.. Not only is it just weird to me, I just wanna play basketball and not have drama overload.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Available Today, Post Your Impressions Here
Honestly, this is the best basketball game ever made by so far it is not even close.
I am happy paying $60 just for such an incredibly in depth season mode...that is basically all I want. A full season with total control over all teams where I can replicate trades, play whatever games I want, edit away, load sliders easily, customise rosters, and enjoy a full season. Season mode is perfect. Well done Leftos.
But then we get a ridiculously deep franchise mode also if you want to be a GM.
An insanely addictive pro am...
My career / Spike Lee etc...boring, but that is just a bonus mode / not a factor in why I buy it. So, cannot criticise something 'extra'.
And I am yet to even go anywhere near My Park.
Really looking forward to the day one rosters and getting a season going...
Just amazing depth.Comment
