Bad, lots of young players get their rookie options not picked up. Otto Porter, Alex Len, Myles Leonard are constantly free agents at the end of my simmed first season.

I always sign Otto Porter, he is a great backup.

I had read it was hard coded to jump to $90m in the first offseason, then increment based on the inflation rate every year after that. Every 10th year was to get a bigger bump to reflect a new tv deal.

However if I leave the cap at the default $70m, even with the inflation rate turned all the way up, I'm only seeing a cap of max $79m in that first offseason.

Is this what is happening? If so this will put teams who have signed players IRL to deals for the projected cap into luxury issues (such as AD with the Pelicans), as that projected cap bump won't happen in game.

Maybe the hard-coded jump is limited to MyGM only, not MyLeague?

Anyone else who has advanced in MyLeague seen this? I thought the hard coded jump for first off season was in.

Didn't want to start a new thread, but what setting do you guys put the salary and hard cap on?

I've gone into the first off season about 7 different times and all the salary caps have been close to $90mm. Somewhere between $89.4mm and $90.6mm every time

Salary cap really doesn't matter unless you go higher than 90 because it jumps up after year 1 regardless. I always set hard cap at 130 which should keep, roughly, a $40mm gap between cap and hard cap

I've played with it and between 50 - 100 your increases range from $0.6m to $1.5m, approximately. It doesn't seem to really be set to a hard number, it's flexible. With current contract issues, I say put it at 0 - 25. If we get a fix for contracts then I think 70 - 80 will be solid. Personally, I'm staying with 50

Just one example...Drummonds extension went to 12/13mil a yr instead of the 8/9mil he was getting before the patch. Might still be kind of low but I guess its better.

It's hard for me to imagine the reality where Drummond signs for 12/13 a year.

Just did several quick MyLeague sims to see the results.

In nearly all of them Drummond signs for about 17-21 mill/year, whereas Whiteside for example signed anywhere between 11-18mill.

One thing I did notice though: in none of my sims did the likes of Drummond, Beal etc. sign an extension, but they became a FA in order to give their teams more cap space in the offseason before resigning, as they would in real life.

Only problem is, once they hit FA they get multiple offers and just sign for whoever offers first/most. Hence Drummond never stays with DET but - just like LeBron - sign for whatever silly team has most cap space :/ (he went to the Lakers and Blazers lol)

Also: for some reason no one seems to want Trey Burke/Ben McLemore in FA? They end up being teamless or signing for a mere 4 mill/year .. What's up with that lol?!

Atleast he signs for more in FA. I wonder if craning up the CPU resigning slider would help those situations you listed.

Those guys are RFAs though...are their teams not matching the offer sheets? That sounds like a bug.
