I will never understand why people use The Park as the basis for their complaints. After 2-3 weeks, it's basically people using created superstars. It kinda should be expected that The Park will have an arcade like experience.

How often should a 16 foot jump shot go in unguarded? By a shooter with good ratings 85-99?

Mid Range Shot Cheese Is Back With Full Force!

Sounds like gamers who always just zig-zag behind the 3-point line, or try to dunk all the time..... Are finally learning that there is more to basketball than long range 3's and flashy dunks.

Yes, you gotta defend midrange shots too. Yes .

I have to agree. Mid range is too easy in this game. Even CP3 isn't going to make every mid range shot in real life. But I thought this was supposed to be gone

Defend then. FOrce them to take a 3 or a drive to the basket. Stick to your match up instead of chasing, reaching and jumping as soon as someone threatens to go near the basket

I think the problem with the midrange is you can still left right in this game and there are no negative effect on your shot at all, and also the fact that it's way toooo easy to get a green from midrange. Yes it's the highest percentage shot you can take in basketball, but when you have 4 bars on your jumpshooting guard and still get green releases the majority of the time from midrange that is a huge problem.

Finally a vid but then again this is The Park...not exactly an example of sim game....

I think badges will stop most of that nonsense.....do you have perimeter lock down?

This dude just played the best defense anybody could have possibly done, and the first thing that comes to your mind is if he has a certain badge?! It should not come down to that!

Deadeye maybe? Im positive dude didn't hit that shot every single time like the OP stated above. It happens where people hit super contested jumpers in this game but its not often or every single time.

I knew a thread like this would surface sooner or later. I'll let you all sort this one out though. I agree with what KSutton said though.

The only time I've seen this as cheese is someone who had a 7'0 SG sharpshooter (ugh) with a high release, who shot nothing but elbow jumpers all game. Being a 6'5 SG, there was nothing I could do at that point.

Other than that, there's not a problem here. I've seen players absolutely refuse to play lockdown D in the park, and get burned for it. Welcome to basketball.

Lets be real here. If you leave kobe open for a wide open mid the entire game he won't miss in real life, so nor should "superstar" players in the park. Have you seen nba players warm up? They don't miss wide open mids

I've made some tweaks to lower mid-range shot %'s, as well as slightly raise layups and 3's. The changes should be deployed tonight if everything goes as planned.

                              The Park = not sim

I would be concerned if it was a vid from a 12 minute game. So yeah... it's the damn park where badges matter.

This **** is normal if the guy has unfazed and deadeye.

What led to patch 4 was 2Ks inability to balance things. most of the releases in the game are broken? cool lets fix them all and on top of that bump up the % on made 3's. what could go wrong?

Every time they try to balance a mechanic they go completely overboard. one year steal spam is OP, the next year you can't get on ball steals period. one year there are too many blocked dunks, the next year you can't block dunks at all.

It's a shame that I have to be afraid to talk about open 3's not falling and/or mid range going in way too much because if they attempt to fix it I know for a fact they'll make whatever the original problem is just as bad in the opposite direction.
