blocks have to be tuned for non-shot blockers. guys with high block ratings? fine. ricky rubio, iguodala and tony allen can now challenge with the R stick and use verticality.

I love how people are acting like it has to be on either extreme side of the spectrum. IN my opinion 2k11 was the most balanced in terms of blocking, It doesnt have to be everyone can block or no one can

I've had more chasedown blocks in 2K16 than Wade has had in his entire career. It's absurd.

There are too many blocks from a sim aspect but it certainly isn't to big a deal. Makes the game more exciting.

If they tweak anything they should look at the "block" that really is just a steal when players arejumping for a dunk. If they changed those to a steal the stats would be a little cleaner.

This totally this. Those blocks that happen before the ball gets above the shooters head should definitely be called steals. Steals are a little light anyway, and we can kill two birds with one stone.

The CPU rarely blocks me with poor shot blockers, but I get a few too many with wing size players who aren't really shot blockers primarily because of the CPU's occasional obliviousness to the "no chance of getting the shot off" peril they're in.

Every body is a hardcore "SIM HEAD" except for blocks huh? Makes sense.

The community is in an uproar when trash shooters are snipers, but its perfect when guards can average 3 blocks a game. I want blocks: shots beat off the glass, thrown into the stands, and stuffed at the pinnacle. But most often by great shot blockers. Mutombo is devalued when you can do the same thing with Myers Leonard.

I got a 6,8 PG with looooooong arms and average 4-5 blocks per game Some look impressive but they don't look as unrealistic as some dunks look!

Blocks are just FINE! Leave it alone. Make Smarter decisions with with which hand you wanna have the dunk or layup and you'll see how it truly reacts to situations.

Our IQ is not as high as NBA professionals so we deserve to be blocked more. 2k also has some flaws in layup vs dunk IQ and some layups and dunk attempts are straight up baits for blocks.

It's the nature of the beast and in this wild I feel we need the blocks as they are, we need to get stops where we can opposed to phantom attempts that have the ball phase through your defender.

The game when out, was perfect
Now they messed up everything already for me. I played 6 matches today.
1.Three point is a joke
2.No more swats with shot blockers and non shot blockers but just some ugly no sound blocks just because I jump swatting anticipating the shooter.
3. AI at the same difficulty as I used to play (Superstar sim) , plays like ****.
Before they move the ball smartly and fast and beautifully. When they are under the rim they move the ball outside fast and smartly and start the attack again with brain. Now they play like ****. They don't move the ball like before and they play like everybody is Jr Smith. They keep the ball for three hours and just rush to the basket and have dumb shots under the rim.

This this this. There is no reason that mediocre defenders have magic ball-tracking abilities to block but never foul. The Y button, in its current state, allows the entire body to be the radius of a block with nearly any player. It's garbage.

There's no good reason for a big to be blocked by a point-guard's knee before he can go up with it.

Yeah, and I'm a defensive guy. I love and believe in defense. But not ever team is a good defensive team. And I'm seeing that with every team I play. They all have defense!!!

I play the cavs and I'm seeing Love making perfect rotations and ball tracking like he's Deion Sanders. He's tipping every pass in his direction, blocking dunks, then I dribble by him with curry and he strips me. Mosgov also stripped Curry as well. Now I can deal with Mosgov blocking shots, but stripping Curry? Talk about someone that wanted to shatter the joystick. I love the defense in the game but I wanna see it by true defensive players.

And ppl thinking the defense/blocks is "ok" is not being realistic. A guy with a low block rating blocking dunks is the same as a guy like Al Jefferson hitting 3s. If that's not what he do then he shouldn't be doing it, period.

In truth, some of the poorer shot blockers are OP.

But I'd rather be able to do this, than not be able to block any shots.
