Re: Blocks are ridiculous!
Stop exaggerating and acting like you're getting met at the rim and stuffed face-to-face by 'Rubio' 3x every game.Comment

Re: Blocks are ridiculous!
'Shot blocker' or not, if I see a trailer and think he has a chance to catch me in a bad animation, I'm either going with a layup or I'm passing out. That's your fault that you weren't paying attention.Last edited by Caelumfang; 10-08-2015, 05:17 PM.Comment

Re: Blocks are ridiculous!
The truth is nba 2k16 is a very arcadey game in some aspects , and the overpowered blocks, nba jam like rubber band ai and missed wide open dunks and layups by superstars are just some of many things that make playing the cpu artificially difficult.
Don't get me wrong, it's very fun, but you have to remember its a video game and you have to use video game tactics to win.Comment

Re: Blocks are ridiculous!
why wouldn't I? In real life, no matter how bad a shot blocker you are, you contest the shot. It's just that the bad shot blockers have dramatically lower chances of actually scoring a block. Which isn't the case in this game; you could be a great shot blocker or horrible one and you can easily send back the CPU's dunks just the same.
that is not sim, that is not balanced. Like someone else said, it's just like if a horrible 3 point shooter could shoot just as well as a great one because they got the release timing just right.Comment

Re: Blocks are ridiculous!
You have to play like it's real basketball not like it's nba live!
You don't have to spam buttons randomly!
You don't have to jump blocking with who isn't big enough to block.
You have to make compromises!

Re: Blocks are ridiculous!
Yeah they're bad. IRL, Jose Calderon wouldn't even attempt to block a Dwayne Wade dunk from behind because he'd most likely get a foul call. That's how they can fix it. Make it so that 99 percent of the time that situation I just described ends up in a foul call. That'll mean that people will be discouraged from even attempting to block.
I don't know about offline but online this game has some things backwards. There's foul calls in the wrong places. Chris Andersen shouldn't be able to get Tim Duncan in the air with a pump fake, he isn't a threat, and yet that's what will happen if you let the CPU defend him. If you play on-ball D on a guy that isn't an offensive threat, they can trigger an unrealistic dunk animation or can get free throws.
The game needs tinkering, that notion really can't really be challenged, we just need to be specific to help the devs.Originally posted by Dogslax41Most people that are asking for a simulation game don’t really want a simulation game because its too hard.Comment

Re: Blocks are ridiculous!
Remember when we couldn't block a dunk?
Hands going through a clear block because if I recall correctly Mike said it was done on purpose.
I'd rather have what we have now than nothing at all. 2k is already offensive heavy it's about damn time the defense got some love.Comment

And let's not even get started with all the bail-out cheesy foul calls. Guys throwing up horrible shots over bigs and get bailed out with a cheesy foul. Lol. This game is nuts. I don't even get mad no more I just laugh.Last edited by MadManCometh; 10-08-2015, 08:05 PM.Comment

Re: Blocks are ridiculous!
So everyone is a shot blocker now? U know It's ridiculous online when Ricky Rubio is blocking dunks. Other notables is Marco Belini blocked Igudola's dunk last night. I know kevin love is a big but should he really be swatting balls in the stands??? Last I check love wasn't much of a defender nor was he swatting balls all over the place.
I think the blocks are nice but needs to be tuned as non-shot blockers are blocking things they shouldnt.
