The results are good but the lack of contact animations with Carroll bull rushing and that mario moonwalking looks terrible.

This thread is nearly moot until they fix this:

          <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/8cIQ6GEaYrs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

          <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/b-3zYRVVOrM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

This is a regular occurrence online, where people who do not know how to play offense try to turbo their way around the court. It seems like 2K gave into these complainers who do not know or refuse to learn the basics of basketball.

If you run directly into someone, there must be contact. Period. You should not be able to turbo willy-nilly until you get around a defender. THAT is why the on-ball defense at launch was preferred.

You posted this in the other thread, which is cool. No need to to try to moot the thread for those simply wanting tips...

When you're playing on ball defense, do you always use the LT + RT? Sometimes I feel like that sends me flying by the ball handler but just using LT + LS, sometimes they don't react quick enough.

Yea man it's high risk, so i just tap R2 as needed to moderate the speed a bit otherwise they'll stop and ill look silly.

Goodlooks. Also, do you hold the LT all the way down or lightly hold it? I feel like feathering the left stick while fully holding it, you don't get as much movement.

Maybe I'm not seeing this properly. But it seems as if the only reason there was a stop here was because one his teammates brought a defender over and Carroll ran into him. Otherwise, in spite of you playing him perfectly, he would have gotten by you and on into the paint. This clips shows a glaring issue with lack of contact.

Think we already established the lack of contact animation....but he tried to go baseline and couldn't.....which is where I didn't want him to go....him driving into Horford would've been fine with me....I likely would've switched positions if he wasn't there...

It's not an ideal perfect looking play, but neither is me suctioning him in place a la pre patch- this is the balance we are talking about in the other thread....

Salute. U controlled Carroll like mofo. U forced him to do what u wanted.sending him right to the help. Dats D right there. Just like IRL u just have to have in in u. People lack so much discipline. Reaching, going for pump fakes, unnecessary double teams. Onball d is the best it's ever been

I would prefer him to have to make his way to the basket via the baseline instead. The game enforces the out of bounds line much more now so you stand a fair chance of forcing a turnover. Dialing up a double team is much easier from there to. For all your efforts you still wound up either hoping for the best when he gets to Horford in the paint or getting lucky because of the poor floor spacing and getting the turnover. I've had success basically playing "bump and run". Block the first move on the drive, back off, repeat. Any prolonged "contact" yields what you have there in the video with the player sliding off and going by. You're obviously doing OK with this game so let's just chalk it up to a style difference.

                            Fair enough my good man...

That's the great thing about a tip thread, there's a lot of different viewpoints

This is a great question? I feel like a lot of times I'm stuck in mud for a second when trying to explode to counter the offensive mans first step
