But Jordan was an elite finisher, and did have a great midrange shot, and post game.

And Curry is an elite three-point shooter, he has a better mid-range shot, and he can score on off-ball action way better than Jordan.

Everything you say keeps pointing to the fact that it's a wash between Curry and Jordan as scorers.

Jordan is a better scorer overall. Steph lives and dies by his 3. Look at the box score for tonight. He hit 11 3s. Insane, yes, but if he cools down next year, he'll be right back to 22-24 ppg, and just a very good player, rather than an elite one.

You're going too far. Better scorer than Jordan? You're just talking out of your *** right now. Are you really gonna say he's a better scorer than the GOAT, who averaged what Currys averaging right now, for his whole career. MJ averaged 30 for 6 or 7 straight years. Curry might finish a hair above 30 a game, and he'll only have done it once.

*sigh* It's obvious that I'm not gonna change your mind. Once again, by your logic, Jordan lived and died by his athleticism. Once he cooled down in that area, he was significantly less efficient.

And even if that wasn't the case, you've made no objective argument that points to versatility being important as long as you're still scoring points.

The 7 seconds Suns and '91 Warriors and '03 Mavs all had great scorers that could score lights out. 0 total titles. 0 total Finals appearances.

Point is, people shouldn't compare today's cupcake defense to the defense of yesteryear in the NBA.
