A lot of these issues are things the developers put in the game in patch 3 & patch 4 to combat online cheesing especially if you use player lock. if you are running down court and hit the pass button your player will almost come to a complete stop and you still won't get the ball passed to you..I complained about the computer not passing the ball on player lock after patch 3 because I thought it was a problem or glitch. When it still was happening after patch 4 I PM'd Beluba and here was his response:
"Hi Site, we made the decision to make player lock work more like it works in MyCareer because some people were abusing the "force pass" feature and making videos of all of the exploits that come from allowing that. So now you have to be open for the AI to acknowledge the call for pass. In 2K17, we may go back to the way it was as long as we can fix up the exploits."
I hate My Career because you're at the mercy of dumb computer teammates and there is little to no customization. Ironically I started a My Career and immediately got the "on court Coach" badge which means I can get the ball passed on demand in My Career but not in My League and that somehow is supposed to make sense. Its bad enough that offline 2K players are like a second citizen to 2K but now our gameplay is punished because of the exploits of online players. They used to ignore adding anything to offline modes now they're taking things away from us. I guess eventually 2K's stance will be play online or play another game because we apparently are the minority now.
