Re: NBA 2K17 Early Copy Thread
Isn't auto foul something you can turn off in coach settings?
Or did I misunderstand what you meant by "auto foul"?Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Early Copy Thread
It's immersive.
Trying lower tier teams today.
Played against the CPU on Superstar vs. the Kings. Boogie was finally fed and the main person they went to down the stretch. 10/24 shooting, if I'm not mistaken.
I was the Spurs. With the new steal system, elite defenders actually feel like threat. Kawhi was everywhere. The post game is just as refined as the dribbling system.
My only beef with dribbling is that sometimes you can wiggle the stick and get a cheesy I crossed you dribble animation where your player stumbles, ect. Annoying sometimes. It should only happen when you guess the wrong way.
Need to figure out how to change freelances. Play development actually seems a tad slower when using your plays and thus far, they haven't added one play on the teams I've played with so far; maybe updated in a patch.Comment

I'm not sure if it's new or not but when the crowd chants they actually stomp the floor and move in unison.
It's immersive.

Re: NBA 2K17 Early Copy Thread
It's funny but I wouldn't take too much stock in early reviews yet because more than likely there is always a day 1 patch correcting something . The info still useful thoComment

Can someone please confirm if the absolute control scheme is still in the game?Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Early Copy Thread
I still need to do a lot of digging BUT, my initial impression is it's a good game. Some people that are expecting a different feel or for it to not have a signature 2K feel will complain... I'm sure.
I wish play development was quicker than last year. Seems about the same pace but I remember DacZar saying if they develop too fast things get crazy...
As of right now, SIM seems to trump casual play. When I get lazy and don't run my plays or utilize my whole team and their strengths on superstar, I get my *** whipped. If I do, I can compete.
I hope it is not patched to dumb down the gameplay. Feels like 2K16, minus random rotations, superman blocking, hitch dribbling, better post play and rebounding.
The new shot stick isn't my thing. Buttons players will be just fine, regardless of the influx of percentage using the stick.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Early Copy Thread
23,
Crowd and audio presentation is for you to judge but I don't think it's much of a difference. Just finished playing against Okc to get a good gauge. Sounds like last year..
Nets sound and look nice. Buzzer are different in different arenas but that was in before too, right?
That trailer may create some future backlash. I appreciate them traveling and all but I can see some people under the impression it would be vastly different this year. I think it's the first step to audio presentation improving... That's all.
EDIT: I think I need a day one patch too. Hair looks like last year for now. Hopefully new plays with the patch as well.
The new timeout screen is incredibly cumbersome for the people into changing POE, matchup, subs ect. Defensive settings are more effective but need real testing onlineLast edited by Nevertheles109; 09-11-2016, 10:42 AM.Comment
