Re: NBA 2K17 Early Copy Thread
Yeah man. It's literally pages upon pages of new adjustments and verbiage that I'm not familiar. Most of are self explanatory but wth does a defensive adjustment, junk mean?
another new one...switch everything. I guess the playoffs from last year made that popular.
Edit: much more control and freedom. However, stil some hiccups here and there. Was at the key... Defensive pushed me I wanted to step back to get some space. I somehow ended up behind the halfcourt line for backcourt violation. Has happened plenty of times to me in previous 2K's.
Much less stickiness overall but don't except perfection.Last edited by Nevertheles109; 09-11-2016, 11:50 AM.Comment

23,
Crowd and audio presentation is for you to judge but I don't think it's much of a difference. Just finished playing against Okc to get a good gauge. Sounds like last year..
Nets sound and look nice. Buzzer are different in different arenas but that was in before too, right?
That trailer may create some future backlash. I appreciate them traveling and all but I can see some people under the impression it would be vastly different this year. I think it's the first step to audio presentation improving... That's all.
EDIT: I think I need a day one patch too. Hair looks like last year for now. Hopefully new plays with the patch as well.
The new timeout screen is incredibly cumbersome for the people into changing POE, matchup, subs ect. Defensive settings are more effective but need real testing online

Bigs can cover to much ground on defense(they are too fast)
Late contest on laups matter too much.
Random blocks doing pumpfakes.
Leaning shots for guys who have catch and shoot badge should be removed.Comment

I used that during my team USA tournament vs the Euroleague
Because team usa switches all of the time. ..off picks handoffs and whstever else
Its actually kinda crazy when you have the athletes to keep upComment

Ahhh you are right. I recall. It's just in a different spot. Timeout screen is crazy. If you mess with all those things. That whole minute with get used now lolComment

Re: NBA 2K17 Early Copy Thread
Plenty of new adjustments in timeouts. You can focus on a certain player for defense. Run off line, force jumper, force drive, nothing inside, boxes and elbows, make him work, stay home, play physical, make him score and a few more options.
If implemented correctly, the tools are there to have your own defensive schemes.
Confusing to use though because even though I have ACE off my adjustments seem to revert to auto. Also, it's sporadic as to what you can adjust during gameplay for POE's. Maybe I'm just using it wrong..
Currently getting spanked by raptors vs Spurs on superstar. 66-51.
So many new adjustments i hope that DaCZar does a blog. Elborate on everything and teach us with quick snippets and I think we can have a lot of control as to how your CPU plays off ball and your philosophy on defense.
You enjoying the game so far ?Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Early Copy Thread
I was able to manage that last year by managing when the stoppages in time occur. For example, the CPU typically likes to sub its first group at the 6 min (if you are playing a 12 min quarter game). If you go past that mark, it will combine its first group of subs with the second.
So I always would call a TO around the 6 minute mark (unless there was a foul or play stoppage that allowed them to sub in its first group already).
With that approach, you will see 3 people sub in at the same time at the most for the rest of the game.Comment

We have other workaround in our roster.

Also there is new workaround:
Somebody in the sliders session wrote that
ROTATIONS! *as a Preface, I followed the work stated in this thread from last year** (Rotations/Minutes Played) It works amazing if followed correctly.
Instructions: Go into your My-League or MyGm and go to coaching profile.
-Change Bench Utilization to 100.
-Change Lineup Performance Factor to 50
-Place your bench depth number 1 digit higher than your actual rotation (if you play 9 guys, put 10)
-Distribute minutes. Here is the Key. you must set in incriments of 5. and pick at least 2 starters to only set 20 minutes, the other 3 can be either 25 or 30.
-your 6th man must be given 30 minutes
-if possible give your 7th man 30 minutes also
-no more than 2 players can be assign the same amount of minutes in your starters group and again in your bench. I'll explain.
-do not give 3 players you start the exact same amount of minutes, just as do not give 3 bench players the exact same amount of minutes. the max of either group can be 2. and here is why. when you have multiple players set at the same amount of minutes in the same unit, you will see those mass subs. we dont want that. we want subs coming in 1, 2 and sometimes 3 at a time.
-once you set your minutes you are done. enjoy.
But all of them all myleague only in Mygm and career cpu was dumb.2k18 fixes
